1神よ、嘆きを訴える私の声を聞いてください。 敵への恐れから私の命を守ってください。
1(64-1) For the Leader. A Psalm of David. (64-2) Hear my voice, O God, in my complaint; preserve my life from the terror of the enemy.
2悪者たちの陰謀から私を隠してください。 悪を行う者たちの騒がしい群れから。
2(64-3) Hide me from the council of evil-doers; from the tumult of the workers of iniquity;
3彼らは舌を剣のように研ぎ、 矢を、すなわち致命的な言葉を狙い定める。
3(64-4) Who have whet their tongue like a sword, and have aimed their arrow, a poisoned word;
4隠れ場から罪のない人を射るためだ。 彼らは突然、恐れることなくその人を射る。
4(64-5) That they may shoot in secret places at the blameless; suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5彼らは悪い企てに励み、 ひそかに罠を仕掛けようと語り合う。 「誰がそれを見るだろう」と言う。
5(64-6) They encourage one another in an evil matter; they converse of laying snares secretly; they ask, who would see them.
6彼らは不義を企てて言う。 「私たちは完璧な計画を練り上げた」と。まことに、人の思いも心も狡猾である。
6(64-7) They search out iniquities, they have accomplished a diligent search; even in the inward thought of every one, and the deep heart.
7しかし神は彼らを射られる。 彼らは矢に打たれて、たちまち倒れる。
7(64-8) But God doth shoot at them with an arrow suddenly; thence are their wounds.
8彼ら自身の舌が彼らを破滅させる。 彼らを見る者は皆、頭を振る。
8(64-9) So they make their own tongue a stumbling unto themselves; all that see them shake the head.
9すべての人は恐れ、 神の御業を告げ知らせ、 神がなされたことを賢く思い巡らす。
9(64-10) And all men fear; and they declare the work of God, and understand His doing.
10義人は主にあって喜び、 主に身を避ける。 心のまっすぐな者は皆、主を賛美する。
10(64-11) The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall take refuge in Him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
