1私はあらゆる時に主をほめたたえる。 主への賛美は常に私の口にある。
1(34-1) A Psalm of David; when he changed his demeanour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. (34-2) I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2私の魂は主を誇る。 へりくだる者はそれを聞いて喜ぶだろう。
2(34-3) My soul shall glory in the LORD; the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
3私と共に主をあがめよ。 共に御名を高く上げよう。
3(34-4) O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together.
4私が主を求めると、主は私に答えられ、 私のすべての恐れから私を助け出された。
4(34-5) I sought the LORD, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
5彼らは主を仰ぎ見て、光り輝いた。 彼らの顔は決して恥で覆われることはない。
5(34-6) They looked unto Him, and were radiant; and their faces shall never be abashed.
6この貧しい人が呼ばわると、主は彼に聞き、 そのすべての苦難から彼を救い出された。
6(34-7) This poor man cried, and the LORD heard, and saved him out of all his troubles.
7主の御使いは、主を恐れ敬う者たちの周りに陣を敷き、 彼らを助け出される。
7(34-8) The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear Him, and delivereth them.
8主が良い方であることを味わい、見よ。 主に避け所を求める人は幸いである。
8(34-9) O consider and see that the LORD is good; happy is the man that taketh refuge in Him.
9主を恐れ敬え、主の聖徒たちよ。 主を恐れ敬う者たちには乏しいことがないからだ。
9(34-10) O fear the LORD, ye His holy ones; for there is no want to them that fear Him.
10若い獅子は乏しくなり、飢えることがある。 しかし、主を尋ね求める者たちは、良いものに欠けることがない。
10(34-11) The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger; but they that seek the LORD want not any good thing.
11子らよ、来て、私の言葉を聞け。 私はあなたがたに主への恐れを教えよう。
11(34-12) Come, ye children, hearken unto me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12命を望み、 良いものを見るために長く生きたいと願う者は誰か。
12(34-13) Who is the man that desireth life, and loveth days, that he may see good therein?
13あなたの舌を悪から守り、 あなたの唇が偽りを語らないようにせよ。
13(34-14) Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.
14悪を離れて、善を行え。 平和を尋ね求め、それを追い求めよ。
14(34-15) Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
15主の目は義人に向けられ、 主の耳は彼らの叫びに傾けられる。
15(34-16) The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry.
16主の御顔は悪を行う者たちに逆らい、 彼らの記憶を地から断ち切る。
16(34-17) The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17義人たちが叫ぶと、主は聞かれ、 そのすべての苦難から彼らを助け出される。
17(34-18) They cried, and the LORD heard, and delivered them out of all their troubles.
18主は心の打ち砕かれた者の近くにおられ、 霊の砕かれた者を救われる。
18(34-19) The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.
19義人の苦しみは多い。 しかし、主はそのすべてから彼を助け出される。
19(34-20) Many are the ills of the righteous, but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
20主は彼のすべての骨を守られる。 その一つも折られることはない。
20(34-21) He keepeth all his bones; not one of them is broken.
21悪は悪者を殺す。 義人を憎む者たちは罪に定められる。
21(34-22) Evil shall kill the wicked; and they that hate the righteous shall be held guilty.
22主はそのしもべたちの魂を贖われる。 主に避け所を求める者は誰も罪に定められることはない。
22(34-23) The LORD redeemeth the soul of His servants; and none of them that take refuge in Him shall be desolate.
