1神よ、あなたは私の神である。 私は切にあなたを尋ね求める。 私の魂はあなたを渇き求め、 私の肉体はあなたを慕う。 水のない、乾き疲れた地で。
1(63-1) A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. (63-2) O God, Thou art my God, earnestly will I seek Thee; my soul thirsteth for Thee, my flesh longeth for Thee, in a dry and weary land, where no water is.
2私は聖所であなたを仰ぎ見て、 あなたの力と栄光を見つめた。
2(63-3) So have I looked for Thee in the sanctuary, to see Thy power and Thy glory.
3あなたの慈しみは命にもまさるので、 私の唇はあなたを賛美する。
3(63-4) For Thy lovingkindness is better than life; my lips shall praise Thee.
4こうして、私は生きている限りあなたをほめたたえ、 あなたの御名によって両手を上げる。
4(63-5) So will I bless Thee as long as I live; in Thy name will I lift up my hands.
5私の魂は最も豊かな食べ物で満ち足り、 私の口は喜びの唇であなたを賛美する。
5(63-6) My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth doth praise Thee with joyful lips;
6寝床であなたを思い出し、 夜の更ける間にもあなたを思い巡らすときに。
6(63-7) When I remember Thee upon my couch, and meditate on Thee in the night-watches.
7あなたは私の助けであった。 私はあなたの翼の陰で喜び歌う。
7(63-8) For Thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of Thy wings do I rejoice.
8私の魂はあなたにすがり、 あなたの右の手が私を支える。
8(63-9) My soul cleaveth unto Thee; Thy right hand holdeth me fast.
9しかし、私の魂を滅ぼそうとする者たちは、 地の深い所へ下って行く。
9(63-10) But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the nethermost parts of the earth.
10彼らは剣の力に引き渡され、 ジャッカルの餌となる。
10(63-11) They shall be hurled to the power of the sword; they shall be a portion for foxes.
11しかし王は神にあって喜ぶ。 神にかけて誓う者は皆、神を賛美する。 偽りを語る者たちの口は塞がれるからだ。
11(63-12) But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by Him shall glory; for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
