1いと高き方の隠れ場に住む者は、 全能者の陰に憩う。
1O thou that dwellest in the covert of the Most High, and abidest in the shadow of the Almighty;
2私は主について言う。「主は私の避け所、私のとりで、 私が信頼する神である。」
2I will say of the LORD, who is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust,
3主は、鳥を捕る者の罠から、 命を奪う疫病から、あなたを救い出される。
3That He will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4主はその羽であなたを覆い、 あなたはその翼の下に身を避ける。 主の真実は、あなたの盾であり、防壁である。
4He will cover thee with His pinions, and under His wings shalt thou take refuge; His truth is a shield and a buckler.
5あなたは夜の恐怖を恐れない。 昼に飛んで来る矢も、
5Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flieth by day;
6暗闇を行く疫病も、 真昼に荒らす滅びも恐れない。
6Of the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor of the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7千人があなたの傍らに倒れ、 一万人があなたの右に倒れても、 それはあなたに近づかない。
7A thousand may fall at Thy side, and ten thousand at Thy right hand; it shall not come nigh thee.
8あなたはただ自分の目で眺め、 悪者への報いを見るだけである。
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the recompense of the wicked.
9あなたは主を避け所とし、 いと高き方を住まいとしたので、
9For thou hast made the LORD who is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation.
10わざわいはあなたに降りかからず、 災害もあなたの住まいに近づかない。
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.
11主はあなたについて御使いたちに命じ、 あなたのすべての道で、あなたを守らせる。
11For He will give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12彼らはその手であなたを支え、 あなたの足が石に打ちつけられないようにする。
12They shall bear thee upon their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13あなたは獅子とコブラを踏み、 若い獅子と蛇を踏みつける。
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and asp; the young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under feet.
14「彼がわたしに心を結んだので、わたしは彼を救い出す。 彼がわたしの名を知っているので、彼を高く上げる。
14'Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known My name.
15彼がわたしを呼び求めれば、わたしは彼に答える。 苦難の中で、わたしは彼と共にいる。 わたしは彼を救い出し、彼に栄誉を与える。
15He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him, and bring him to honour.
16わたしは長い命で彼を満ち足らせ、 わたしの救いを彼に見せる。」
16With long life will I satisfy him, and make Him to behold My salvation.'
