1主よ、いつまでですか。 あなたは私を永遠にお忘れになるのか。 いつまで御顔を私から隠されるのか。
1(13-1) For the Leader. A Psalm of David. (13-2) How long, O LORD, wilt Thou forget me for ever? How long wilt Thou hide Thy face from me?
2いつまで私は自分の魂の中で思い悩み、 日々、心に悲しみを抱かなければならないのか。 いつまで敵は私に勝ち誇るのか。
2(13-3) How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart by day? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
3主、私の神よ。私を顧み、答えてください。 私の目に光を与えてください。私が死の眠りにつかないように。
3(13-4) Behold Thou, and answer me, O LORD my God; lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4敵が「私は彼に打ち勝った」と言わないように。 私が倒れるとき、敵対する者たちが喜ばないように。
4(13-5) Lest mine enemy say: 'I have prevailed against him'; lest mine adversaries rejoice when I am moved.
5しかし、私はあなたの慈しみに信頼する。 私の心はあなたの救いを喜ぶ。
5(13-6) But as for me, in Thy mercy do I trust; my heart shall rejoice in Thy salvation.
6私は主にほめ歌を歌う。 主が私に良くしてくださったからだ。
6(13-6) I will sing unto the LORD, because He hath dealt bountifully with me.
