1私の魂よ、主をほめたたえよ。 私の内にあるすべてのものよ、その聖なる御名をほめたたえよ。
1A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name.
2私の魂よ、主をほめたたえよ。 主が与えてくださったすべての恵みを忘れるな。
2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits;
3主は、あなたのすべての罪を赦し、 あなたのすべての病を癒される。
3Who forgiveth all thine iniquity; who healeth all Thy diseases;
4あなたの命を滅びから贖い、 慈しみとあわれみを冠として授けられる。
4Who redeemeth Thy life from the pit; who encompasseth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5あなたの望みを良いもので満たし、 あなたの若さを、鷲のように新しくされる。
5Who satisfieth thine old age with good things; so that Thy youth is renewed like the eagle.
6主は義の御業を行い、 虐げられているすべての者のために、公正を行われる。
6The LORD executeth righteousness, and acts of justice for all that are oppressed.
7主はご自分の道をモーセに、 御業をイスラエルの子らに知らせられた。
7He made known His ways unto Moses, His doings unto the children of Israel.
8主はあわれみ深く、恵み豊かで、 怒るのに遅く、慈しみに満ちておられる。
8The LORD is full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9主はいつまでも責め続けず、 とこしえに怒りを抱かれない。
9He will not always contend; neither will He keep His anger for ever.
10私たちの罪に応じて扱わず、 私たちの不義に応じて報いられなかった。
10He hath not dealt with us after our sins, nor requited us according to our iniquities.
11天が地より高いように、 主を恐れる者たちへの主の慈しみも大きい。
11For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him.
12東が西から遠く離れているように、 主は私たちの背きを、私たちから遠く離された。
12As far as the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from us.
13父がその子らをあわれむように、 主はご自分を恐れる者たちをあわれまれる。
13Like as a father hath compassion upon his children, so hath the LORD compassion upon them that fear Him.
14主は私たちがどのように造られたかを知り、 私たちがちりにすぎないことを覚えておられる。
14For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust.
15人の日々は草のよう。 野の花のように咲き誇る。
15As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16風がその上を過ぎると、花は消え、 その場所も、もはや花を覚えていない。
16For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof knoweth it no more.
17しかし、主を恐れる者たちへの主の慈しみは、とこしえからとこしえまで続き、 その義は子らの子らに及ぶ。
17But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him, and His righteousness unto children's children;
18主の契約を守る者たち、 その命令を覚えて行う者たちに。
18To such as keep His covenant, and to those that remember His precepts to do them.
19主は天に王座を堅く立てられた。 その王国は、すべてを治めている。
19The LORD hath established His throne in the heavens; and His kingdom ruleth over all.
20主の御使いたちよ、主をほめたたえよ。 力に満ち、その御言葉を行い、 その御言葉の声に聞き従う者たちよ。
20Bless the LORD, ye angels of His, ye mighty in strength, that fulfil His word, hearkening unto the voice of His word.
21主のすべての軍勢よ、主をほめたたえよ。 御心を行う、主のしもべたちよ。
21Bless the LORD, all ye His hosts; ye ministers of His, that do His pleasure.
22主が造られたすべてのものよ、主をほめたたえよ。 主が治めるすべての所で。 私の魂よ、主をほめたたえよ。
22Bless the LORD, all ye His works, in all places of His dominion; bless the LORD, O my soul.
