1主よ、私の心は高ぶらず、私の目もおごらない。 私は大きなことにも、 自分には及ばない不思議なことにも、心を向けない。
1A Song of Ascents; of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in things too great, or in things too wonderful for me.
2まことに私は、自分の魂を静め、落ち着かせた。 母のそばにいる乳離れした子のように、 私の魂は、乳離れした子のようである。
2Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother; my soul is with me like a weaned child.
3イスラエルよ、主に望みを置け。 今より、とこしえまでも。
3O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and for ever.
