1ʻE Sihova, ʻoku ʻikai fielahi hoku loto, pe fieʻeiki hoku mata: pea ʻoku ʻikai te u kau ʻi he ngaahi meʻa lalahi, pe ʻi he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku māʻolunga hake ʻiate au.
1A Song of Ascents; of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in things too great, or in things too wonderful for me.
2Ko e moʻoni kuo u fakafiemālieʻi mo fakanaʻanaʻaʻi au, ʻo hangē ko e tamasiʻi kuo fakamāvae mei heʻene faʻē: ʻoku tatau hoku laumālie mo e tamasiʻi kuo fakamāvae.
2Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother; my soul is with me like a weaned child.
3Tuku ke ʻamanaki lelei ʻa ʻIsileli kia Sihova, mei he ʻaho ni pea taʻengata.
3O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and for ever.
