1ای خداوند دل من متکبر نیست و نه چشمانم برافراشته و خویشتن را به‌کارهای بزرگ مشغول نساختم، و نه به‌کارهایی که از عقل من بعید است.
1A Song of Ascents; of David. LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; neither do I exercise myself in things too great, or in things too wonderful for me.
2بلکه جان خود را آرام و ساکت ساختم، مثل بچه‌ای از شیر باز داشته شده، نزد مادر خود. جانم در من بود، مثل بچه ازشیر بازداشته شده.
2Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother; my soul is with me like a weaned child.
3اسرائیل بر خداوند امیدوارباشند، از الان و تا ابدالاباد.
3O Israel, hope in the LORD from this time forth and for ever.
