1神は大いなる集会を主宰し、 神々の間で裁きを下される。
1A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of God; in the midst of the judges He judgeth:
2「いつまで、あなたがたは不当に裁き、 悪者にえこひいきをするのか。」 セラ。
2'How long will ye judge unjustly, and respect the persons of the wicked? Selah
3「弱い者、貧しい者、みなしごを弁護せよ。 貧しい者と虐げられた者の権利を守れ。
3Judge the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
4弱い者と乏しい者を救い出し、 悪者の手から助け出せ。」
4Rescue the poor and needy; deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.
5彼らは知ることも、悟ることもない。 暗闇の中を行き来する。 地のすべての基は揺れ動いている。
5They know not, neither do they understand; they go about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are moved.
6私は言った。「あなたがたは神々であり、 皆、いと高き方の子らである。
6I said: Ye are godlike beings, and all of you sons of the Most High.
7それでも、あなたがたは人のように死に、 支配者の一人のように倒れる。」
7Nevertheless ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.'
8神よ、立ち上がって地を裁いてください。 あなたはすべての国々を受け継がれるからだ。
8Arise, O God, judge the earth; for Thou shalt possess all nations.
