1悪者のはかりごとに歩まず、 罪人の道に立たず、 あざける者の座に座らない人は幸いである。
1BOOK I HAPPY IS the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.
2むしろ、その人は主 の律法を喜びとし、 昼も夜もその律法を思い巡らす。
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
3その人は、水の流れのほとりに植えられた木のようである。 季節が来ると実を結び、 その葉も枯れることがない。 その行うことはすべて栄える。
3And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.
4悪者はそうではない。 彼らは風が吹き飛ばすもみ殻のようである。
4Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5それゆえ、悪者は裁きの中に立つことができず、 罪人も義人の集まりの中に立つことができない。
5Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6主は義人の道を知っておられるが、 悪者の道は滅び去る。
6For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.
