1เป็นสุขยิ่ง คนที่ไม่เดินตามคำชี้นำของคนชั่ว ไม่ยืนอยู่บนทางของคนทำบาป ไม่นั่งร่วมกับคนชอบเยาะเย้ย
1BOOK I HAPPY IS the man that hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked, nor stood in the way of sinners, nor sat in the seat of the scornful.
2แต่เขาชื่นชอบบทบัญญัติของพระยาห์เวห์ เขาใคร่ครวญบทบัญญัตินั้นทั้งกลางวันและกลางคืน
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
3เขาจะเป็นเหมือนต้นไม้ที่ปลูกริมธารน้ำ ออกผลตามฤดูกาล ใบก็ไม่เหี่ยว ทุกสิ่งที่เขาทำจะเจริญงอกงาม
3And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bringeth forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaf doth not wither; and in whatsoever he doeth he shall prosper.
4คนชั่วไม่เป็นเช่นนั้น พวกเขาเป็นเหมือนแกลบที่ลมพัดปลิวไป
4Not so the wicked; but they are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5เพราะฉะนั้น คนชั่วจะยืนอยู่ไม่ได้เมื่อมีการพิพากษา คนทำบาปก็ไม่มีที่ในชุมนุมของคนเที่ยงธรรม
5Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6เพราะพระยาห์เวห์รู้จักทางของคนเที่ยงธรรม แต่ทางของคนชั่วจะพินาศ
6For the LORD regardeth the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.
