1สิ่งที่เปิดเผยเกี่ยวกับนีนะเวห์ หนังสือนิมิตของนาฮูมชาวเอลโคช
1THE BURDEN of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite.
2พระยาห์เวห์เป็นพระเจ้าผู้หวงแหนและแก้แค้น พระยาห์เวห์แก้แค้นและเต็มไปด้วยความเดือดดาล พระยาห์เวห์แก้แค้นฝ่ายตรงข้าม และยังคงโกรธศัตรูของพระองค์
2The LORD is a jealous and avenging God, the LORD avengeth and is full of wrath; the LORD taketh vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for His enemies.
3พระยาห์เวห์ไม่โกรธง่ายและมีพลังยิ่งใหญ่ พระองค์จะไม่ปล่อยให้คนผิดพ้นโทษเป็นอันขาด พระยาห์เวห์เคลื่อนไปในลมหมุนและพายุ เมฆเป็นฝุ่นใต้เท้าของพระองค์
3The LORD is long-suffering, and great in power, and will by no means clear the guilty; the LORD, in the whirlwind and in the storm is His way, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
4พระองค์กำราบทะเลจนแห้ง และทำให้แม่น้ำทุกสายแห้งไป บาชานกับคาร์เมลเหี่ยวเฉา ดอกไม้แห่งเลบานอนเหี่ยวเฉา
4He rebuketh the sea, and maketh it dry, and drieth up all the rivers; Bashan languisheth, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languisheth.
5ภูเขาสั่นสะเทือนต่อหน้าพระองค์ เนินเขาละลาย แผ่นดินสั่นสะท้านเมื่อพระองค์ปรากฏ ทั้งโลกและทุกคนที่อาศัยอยู่ในโลก
5The mountains quake at Him, and the hills melt; and the earth is upheaved at His presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.
6ใครจะยืนต่อหน้าความเกรี้ยวโกรธของพระองค์ได้? ใครจะทนความโกรธอันรุนแรงของพระองค์ได้? ความเดือดดาลของพระองค์เทลงมาเหมือนไฟ พระองค์ทำให้หินแตกออก
6Who can stand before His indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken asunder before Him.
7พระยาห์เวห์ดีงาม เป็นที่มั่นในวันทุกข์ยาก พระองค์รู้จักคนที่พึ่งพระองค์เป็นที่หลบภัย
7The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that take refuge in Him.
8แต่พระองค์จะใช้น้ำท่วมที่ล้นทะลักทำลายที่อยู่ของเธอจนสิ้น และจะไล่ตามศัตรูเข้าไปในความมืด
8But with an overrunning flood He will make a full end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue His enemies.
9พวกคุณวางแผนอะไรต่อสู้พระยาห์เวห์? พระองค์จะทำลายจนสิ้น ความทุกข์จะไม่เกิดขึ้นเป็นครั้งที่สอง
9What do ye devise against the LORD? He will make a full end; trouble shall not rise up the second time.
10เพราะพวกเขาพันกันเหมือนหนาม เมามายด้วยเครื่องดื่มของตน และจะถูกทำลายจนหมดเหมือนตอซังแห้ง
10For though they be like tangled thorns, and be drunken according to their drink, they shall be devoured as stubble fully dry.
11มีคนหนึ่งออกมาจากเธอ เขาวางแผนชั่วต่อสู้พระยาห์เวห์ และเสนอแผนเลวร้าย
11Out of thee came he forth, that deviseth evil against the LORD, that counselleth wickedness.
12พระยาห์เวห์กล่าวว่า “แม้พวกเขาจะมีกำลังเต็มที่และมีจำนวนมาก พวกเขาก็จะถูกโค่นและสูญไป แม้เราเคยให้พวกคุณทนทุกข์ เราจะไม่ให้พวกคุณทนทุกข์อีก
12Thus saith the LORD: Though they be in full strength, and likewise many, even so shall they be cut down, and he shall pass away; and though I have afflicted thee, I will afflict thee no more.
13ตอนนี้เราจะหักแอกของเขาออกจากพวกคุณ และกระชากพันธนาการของพวกคุณให้ขาด”
13And now will I break his yoke from off thee, and will burst thy bonds in sunder.
14พระยาห์เวห์สั่งเกี่ยวกับเจ้าว่า “จะไม่มีลูกหลานสืบชื่อของเจ้าอีก เราจะกำจัดรูปแกะสลักและรูปหล่อออกจากวิหารของเทพเจ้าของเจ้า เราจะทำหลุมศพให้เจ้า เพราะเจ้าน่ารังเกียจ”
14And the LORD hath given commandment concerning thee, that no more of thy name be sown; out of the house of thy god will I cut off the graven image and the molten image; I will make thy grave; for thou art become worthless.
15นี่ บนภูเขามีเท้าของผู้ที่นำข่าวดีมา ผู้ประกาศสันติสุข! ยูดาห์ จงจัดเทศกาลของเธอ! จงทำตามคำปฏิญาณของเธอ เพราะคนชั่วจะไม่ผ่านเข้ามาในเธออีก เขาถูกกำจัดจนสิ้นแล้ว
15(2-1) Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that announceth peace! Keep thy feasts, O Judah, perform thy vows; for the wicked one shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
