1คนชอบธรรม จงยินดีในพระยาห์เวห์! คำยกย่องเหมาะกับคนซื่อตรง
1Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous, praise is comely for the upright.
2จงขอบคุณพระยาห์เวห์ด้วยเสียงพิณ ร้องเพลงยกย่องพระองค์ด้วยพิณสิบสาย
2Give thanks unto the LORD with harp, sing praises unto Him with the psaltery of ten strings.
3ร้องเพลงใหม่ถวายพระองค์ บรรเลงอย่างชำนาญ พร้อมเสียงโห่ร้องยินดี!
3Sing unto Him a new song; play skilfully amid shouts of joy.
4เพราะถ้อยคำของพระยาห์เวห์เที่ยงตรง ทุกสิ่งที่พระองค์ทำล้วนเปี่ยมด้วยความซื่อสัตย์
4For the word of the LORD is upright; and all His work is done in faithfulness.
5พระองค์รักความชอบธรรมและความยุติธรรม แผ่นดินโลกเต็มไปด้วยความรักมั่นคงของพระยาห์เวห์
5He loveth righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD.
6ฟ้าสวรรค์เกิดขึ้นด้วยถ้อยคำของพระยาห์เวห์ กองทัพทั้งสิ้นบนนั้นเกิดจากลมหายใจจากปากพระองค์
6By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
7พระองค์รวบรวมน้ำทะเลไว้เป็นกอง เก็บห้วงน้ำลึกไว้ในคลัง
7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; He layeth up the deeps in storehouses.
8ให้ทั้งแผ่นดินยำเกรงพระยาห์เวห์ ให้ทุกคนทั่วโลกเกรงขามพระองค์
8Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
9เพราะพระองค์ตรัส แล้วสิ่งนั้นก็เกิดขึ้น พระองค์บัญชา แล้วมันก็ตั้งมั่น
9For He spoke, and it was; He commanded, and it stood.
10พระยาห์เวห์ทำให้แผนของชนชาติต่าง ๆ สูญเปล่า ทำให้ความคิดของประชาชนไร้ผล
10The LORD bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.
11แต่แผนของพระยาห์เวห์ตั้งมั่นตลอดไป ความคิดในใจของพระองค์อยู่ทุกชั่วอายุ
11The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.
12ชนชาติที่มีพระยาห์เวห์เป็นพระเจ้า ช่างเป็นสุข คือประชาชนที่พระองค์เลือกไว้เป็นมรดกของพระองค์เอง
12Happy is the nation whose God is the LORD; the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.
13พระยาห์เวห์มองลงมาจากฟ้าสวรรค์ พระองค์เห็นมนุษย์ทุกคน
13The LORD looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;
14จากที่ประทับ พระองค์มองดูทุกคนที่อาศัยบนแผ่นดิน
14From the place of His habitation He looketh intently upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15พระองค์เป็นผู้ปั้นแต่งหัวใจของพวกเขาทุกคน และพิจารณาทุกสิ่งที่พวกเขาทำ
15He that fashioneth the hearts of them all, that considereth all their doings.
16กษัตริย์ไม่ได้รอดเพราะมีกองทัพมากมาย นักรบไม่ได้พ้นภัยเพราะมีกำลังมหาศาล
16A king is not saved by the multitude of a host; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
17หวังพึ่งม้าให้ปลอดภัยก็เปล่าประโยชน์ ต่อให้มันมีกำลังมาก ก็ช่วยใครให้พ้นไม่ได้
17A horse is a vain thing for safety; neither doth it afford escape by its great strength.
18ดวงตาของพระยาห์เวห์จับจ้องคนที่ยำเกรงพระองค์ คนที่ฝากความหวังไว้ในความรักมั่นคงของพระองค์
18Behold, the eye of the LORD is toward them that fear Him, toward them that wait for His mercy;
19เพื่อช่วยชีวิตพวกเขาให้พ้นจากความตาย และรักษาพวกเขาให้มีชีวิตในยามอดอยาก
19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20พวกเราเฝ้ารอพระยาห์เวห์ พระองค์คือผู้ช่วยและโล่ของเรา
20Our soul hath waited for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
21ใจเรายินดีในพระองค์ เพราะเราวางใจในพระนามบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์
21For in Him doth our heart rejoice, because we have trusted in His holy name.
22พระยาห์เวห์ ขอความรักมั่นคงของพระองค์อยู่กับเรา เพราะเราฝากความหวังไว้ในพระองค์
22Let Thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we have waited for Thee.
