1Ĝoje kantu, ho piuloj, antaŭ la Eternulo; Al la justuloj konvenas glorado.
1Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous, praise is comely for the upright.
2Gloru la Eternulon per harpo, Per dekkorda psaltero ludu al Li.
2Give thanks unto the LORD with harp, sing praises unto Him with the psaltery of ten strings.
3Kantu al Li novan kanton, Bone ludu al Li kun trumpetado.
3Sing unto Him a new song; play skilfully amid shouts of joy.
4Ĉar ĝusta estas la vorto de la Eternulo, Kaj ĉiu Lia faro estas fidinda.
4For the word of the LORD is upright; and all His work is done in faithfulness.
5Li amas justecon kaj juĝon; La tero estas plena de la boneco de la Eternulo.
5He loveth righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD.
6Per la vorto de la Eternulo estiĝis la ĉielo; Kaj per la spiro de Lia buŝo estiĝis ĝia tuta ekzistantaro.
6By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
7Li kolektis kiel en tenujon la akvon de la maro, Li metis la abismojn en konservejojn.
7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; He layeth up the deeps in storehouses.
8Timu la Eternulon la tuta tero; Tremu antaŭ Li ĉiuj loĝantoj de la mondo.
8Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
9Ĉar Li diris, kaj tio fariĝis; Li ordonis, kaj tio aperis.
9For He spoke, and it was; He commanded, and it stood.
10La Eternulo neniigas la interkonsenton de la popoloj, Li detruas la intencojn de la nacioj.
10The LORD bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.
11La decido de la Eternulo restas eterne, La pensoj de Lia koro restas de generacio al generacio.
11The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.
12Felica estas la popolo, kies Dio estas la Eternulo; La gento, kiun Li elektis al Si kiel heredon.
12Happy is the nation whose God is the LORD; the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.
13El la ĉielo la Eternulo rigardas, Li vidas ĉiujn homidojn.
13The LORD looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;
14De la trono, sur kiu Li sidas, Li rigardas ĉiujn, kiuj loĝas sur la tero,
14From the place of His habitation He looketh intently upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
15Li, kiu kreis la korojn de ili ĉiuj, Kiu rimarkas ĉiujn iliajn farojn.
15He that fashioneth the hearts of them all, that considereth all their doings.
16La reĝon ne helpos granda armeo, Fortulon ne savos granda forto.
16A king is not saved by the multitude of a host; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
17Vana estas la ĉevalo por helpo, Kaj per sia granda forto ĝi ne savos.
17A horse is a vain thing for safety; neither doth it afford escape by its great strength.
18Jen la okulo de la Eternulo estas sur tiuj, kiuj Lin timas, Kiuj esperas Lian favoron,
18Behold, the eye of the LORD is toward them that fear Him, toward them that wait for His mercy;
19Ke Li savu de morto ilian animon Kaj nutru ilin en tempo de malsato.
19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
20Nia animo fidas la Eternulon; Li estas nia helpo kaj nia ŝildo.
20Our soul hath waited for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
21Ĉar pro Li ĝojas nia koro, Ĉar ni fidas Lian sanktan nomon.
21For in Him doth our heart rejoice, because we have trusted in His holy name.
22Via favoro, ho Eternulo, estu super ni, Kiel ni esperas al Vi.
22Let Thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we have waited for Thee.
