1Feliĉa estas tiu, kies krimo estas pardonita, kies peko estas kovrita.
1A Psalm of David. Maschil. Happy is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is pardoned.
2Feliĉa estas la homo, al kiu la Eternulo ne kalkulas lian kulpon Kaj en kies spirito estas nenia malvero.
2Happy is the man unto whom the LORD counteth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3Kiam mi silentis, miaj ostoj senfortiĝis De mia ĉiutaga ploregado.
3When I kept silence, my bones wore away through my groaning all the day long.
4Ĉar tage kaj nokte pezis sur mi Via mano; La freŝecon de mia sukoj anstataŭis sekeco de somero. Sela.
4For day and night Thy hand was heavy upon me; my sap was turned as in the droughts of summer. Selah
5Mian pekon mi konfesis al Vi, kaj mian kulpon mi ne kaŝis; Mi diris: Mi konfesos miajn krimojn al la Eternulo; Kaj Vi deprenis la kulpon de mia peko. Sela.
5I acknowledged my sin unto Thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid; I said: 'I will make confession concerning my transgressions unto the LORD' — and Thou, Thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah
6Pro tio preĝu antaŭ Vi ĉiu piulo en favora tempo, Por ke ĉe la disverŝiĝo de grandaj akvoj ili lin ne atingu.
6For this let every one that is godly pray unto Thee in a time when Thou mayest be found; surely, when the great waters overflow, they will not reach unto him.
7Vi estas mia ŝirmo; Kontraŭ sufero Vi min gardos, Per kantoj de savo Vi min ĉirkaŭos. Sela.
7Thou art my hiding-place; Thou wilt preserve me from the adversary; with songs of deliverance Thou wilt compass me about. Selah
8Mi prudentigos vin, kaj montros al vi la vojon, kiun vi devas iri; Kun konsiloj Mi direktos sur vin Mian okulon.
8'I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go; I will give counsel, Mine eye being upon thee.'
9Ne estu kiel ĉevalo, kiel senprudenta mulo, Al kiuj oni devas kateni la buŝon per brido kaj buŝpeco, Alie ili ne venos al vi.
9Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding; whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, that they come not near unto thee.
10Multajn frapojn havas la malpiulo; Sed kiu fidas la Eternulon, tiun ĉirkaŭas favoro.
10Many are the sorrows of the wicked; but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy compasseth him about.
11Ĝoju pro la Eternulo, kaj gaju, ho justuloj; Kaj triumfu ĉiuj, kiuj havas pian koron!
11Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous; and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
