1Rememoru, ho Eternulo, Davidon kaj ĉiujn liajn suferojn;

1A Song of Ascents. LORD, remember unto David all his affliction;

2Ke li ĵuris al la Eternulo, Kaj donis sanktan promeson al la Potenculo de Jakob:

2How he swore unto the LORD, and vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:

3Mi ne eniros en la ŝirmejon de mia domo, Mi ne supreniros sur la liton, pretigitan por mi;

3'Surely I will not come into the tent of my house, nor go up into the bed that is spread for me;

4Mi ne donos dormon al miaj okuloj, Nek dormeton al miaj palpebroj,

4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor slumber to mine eyelids;

5Ĝis mi trovos lokon por la Eternulo, Loĝejon por la Potenculo de Jakob.

5Until I find out a place for the LORD, a dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Jacob.'

6Jen ni aŭdis, ke ĝi estas en Efrata; Ni ĝin trovis sur arbara kampo.

6Lo, we heard of it as being in Ephrath; we found it in the field of the wood.

7Ni iru en Lian loĝejon, Ni kliniĝu antaŭ la benketo de Liaj piedoj.

7Let us go into His dwelling-place; let us worship at His footstool.

8Leviĝu, ho Eternulo, en Vian ripozejon, Vi kaj la kesto de Via potenco.

8Arise, O LORD, unto Thy resting-place; Thou, and the ark of Thy strength.

9Viaj pastroj vestiĝu per justeco, Kaj Viaj fideluloj triumfu.

9Let Thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let Thy saints shout for joy.

10Pro David, Via sklavo, Ne forturnu la vizaĝon de Via sanktoleito.

10For Thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of Thine anointed.

11La Eternulo ĵuris al David veron, kaj Li ne dekliniĝos de ĝi: Frukton de via ventro Mi sidigos sur via trono;

11The LORD swore unto David in truth; He will not turn back from it: 'Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

12Se viaj filoj observos Mian interligon kaj Mian leĝon, kiun Mi instruos al ili, Tiam ankaŭ iliaj filoj eterne sidos sur via trono.

12If thy children keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children also for ever shall sit upon thy throne.'

13Ĉar la Eternulo elektis Cionon, Kaj deziris, ke ĝi estu loĝejo por Li:

13For the LORD hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation:

14Ĉi tio estas Mia ripozejo por eterne; Ĉi tie Mi loĝos, ĉar ĝin Mi ekdeziris.

14'This is My resting-place for ever; here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

15Ĝian nutraĵon Mi abunde benos, Ĝiajn malriĉulojn Mi satigos per pano.

15I will abundantly bless her provision; I will give her needy bread in plenty.

16Kaj ĝiajn pastrojn Mi vestos per savo; Kaj ĝiaj fideluloj ĝojos kaj triumfos.

16Her priests also will I clothe with salvation; and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

17Tie Mi elkreskigos kornon al David, Tie Mi aranĝos lumilon por Mia sanktoleito.

17There will I make a horn to shoot up unto David, there have I ordered a lamp for Mine anointed.

18Liajn malamikojn Mi kovros per honto; Sed sur li brilos lia krono.

18His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown shine.'
