1主よ、あなたの怒りのうちに私を責めないでください。 あなたの憤りのうちに私を懲らしめないでください。
1(38-1) A Psalm of David, to make memorial. (38-2) O LORD, rebuke me not in Thine anger; neither chasten me in Thy wrath.
2あなたの矢が私に突き刺さり、 御手が私に重くのしかかっているからだ。
2(38-3) For Thine arrows are gone deep into me, and Thy hand is come down upon me.
3あなたの憤りのゆえに、私の肉体には健全なところがない。 私の罪のゆえに、私の骨には健やかなところがない。
3(38-4) There is no soundness in my flesh because of Thine indignation; neither is there any health in my bones because of my sin.
4私の不義は、私の頭を越えるほどになったからだ。 それらは重荷のように、私には重すぐ。
4(38-5) For mine iniquities are gone over my head; as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5私の傷は悪臭を放ち、腐っている。 それは私の愚かさのゆえである。
5(38-6) My wounds are noisome, they fester, because of my foolishness.
6私は苦しみ、ひどく身をかがめている。 私は一日中、嘆き悲しんで歩き回る。
6(38-7) I am bent and bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day.
7私の腰は焼けるような痛みで満ちている。 私の肉体には健全なところがない。
7(38-8) For my loins are filled with burning; and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8私は弱り果て、ひどく打ち砕かれている。 私は心の苦悩のゆえにうめいている。
8(38-9) I am benumbed and sore crushed; I groan by reason of the moaning of my heart.
9主よ、私のすべての願いはあなたの御前にある。 私のうめきはあなたから隠されていない。
9(38-10) Lord, all my desire is before Thee; and my sighing is not hid from Thee.
10私の心は激しく脈打つ。 私の力は尽きた。 私の目の光さえも、私から去った。
10(38-11) My heart fluttereth, my strength faileth me; as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
11私の愛する者たちや友人たちは、私の患いを避けて遠く離れて立つ。 私の親族も遠く離れて立つ。
11(38-12) My friends and my companions stand aloof from my plague; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
12私の命を求める者たちも罠を仕掛ける。 私を害しようとする者たちは悪意あることを語り、 一日中、欺きを思い巡らす。
12(38-13) They also that seek after my life lay snares for me; and they that seek my hurt speak crafty devices, and utter deceits all the day.
13しかし私は耳の聞こえない人のように、聞かない。 私は口を開かない、ものを言えない人のようである。
13(38-14) But I am as a deaf man, I hear not; and I am as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
14まことに、私は耳の聞こえない人のようで、 その口には言い返す言葉がない。
14(38-15) Yea, I am become as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no arguments.
15主よ、私はあなたを待ち望んでいるからだ。 主、私の神よ、あなたは答えてくださる。
15(38-16) For in Thee, O LORD, do I hope; Thou wilt answer, O Lord my God.
16私は言ったからだ。「彼らが私の上に勝ち誇らないようにしてください。 私の足が滑るときに、彼らが私の上に自らを高く上げないように」と。
16(38-17) For I said: 'Lest they rejoice over me; when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.'
17私は倒れそうである。 私の痛みは常に私の前にある。
17(38-18) For I am ready to halt, and my pain is continually before me.
18私は自分の不義を言い表す。 私は自分の罪を悲しむ。
18(38-19) For I do declare mine iniquity; I am full of care because of my sin.
19しかし、私の敵は力強く、数多くいる。 理由もなく私を憎む者たちが数多くいる。
19(38-20) But mine enemies are strong in health; and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.
20善の代わりに悪を報いる者たちも、私に敵対している。 私は良いことを追い求めているからだ。
20(38-21) They also that repay evil for good are adversaries unto me, because I follow the thing that is good.
21主よ、私を見捨てないでください。 私の神よ、私から遠く離れないでください。
21(38-22) Forsake me not, O LORD; O my God, be not far from me.
22急いで私を助けてください。 主よ、私の救いよ。
22(38-23) Make haste to help me, O LORD, my salvation.
