1Deus preside na grande assembleia. Ele julga entre os deuses.
1A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of God; in the midst of the judges He judgeth:
2“Até quando vocês julgarão injustamente, e mostrarão parcialidade para com os ímpios?” Selá.
2'How long will ye judge unjustly, and respect the persons of the wicked? Selah
3“Defendam o fraco, o pobre e o órfão. Garantam os direitos do pobre e do oprimido.
3Judge the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and destitute.
4Resgatem o fraco e o necessitado. Livrem-nos da mão dos ímpios.”
4Rescue the poor and needy; deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.
5Eles não sabem, nem entendem. Eles andam de um lado para o outro nas trevas. Todos os fundamentos da terra são abalados.
5They know not, neither do they understand; they go about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are moved.
6Eu disse: “Vocês são deuses, todos vocês são filhos do Altíssimo.
6I said: Ye are godlike beings, and all of you sons of the Most High.
7Contudo, vocês morrerão como homens, e cairão como um dos governantes.”
7Nevertheless ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.'
8Levanta-te, ó Deus, julga a terra, pois tu herdas todas as nações.
8Arise, O God, judge the earth; for Thou shalt possess all nations.
