1Faze-me justiça, ó Deus, e defende a minha causa contra uma nação ímpia. Oh, livra-me de homens enganadores e perversos.
1Be Thou my judge, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
2Pois tu és o Deus da minha fortaleza. Por que me rejeitaste? Por que ando lamentando por causa da opressão do inimigo?
2For Thou art the God of my strength; why hast Thou cast me off? Why go I mourning under the oppression of the enemy?
3Oh, envia a tua luz e a tua verdade. Que elas me guiem. Que elas me levem ao teu santo monte, às tuas tendas.
3O send out Thy light and Thy truth; let them lead me; let them bring me unto Thy holy mountain, and to Thy dwelling-places.
4Então irei ao altar de Deus, a Deus, minha suprema alegria. Eu te louvarei com a harpa, ó Deus, meu Deus.
4Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God, my exceeding joy; and praise Thee upon the harp, O God, my God.
5Por que você está em desespero, ó minha alma? Por que se perturba dentro de mim? Espere em Deus! Pois eu ainda o louvarei: meu Salvador, meu ajudador e meu Deus.
5Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why moanest thou within me? Hope thou in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the salvation of my countenance, and my God.
