1Хто під покровом Всевишнього, той буде в тїнї Всемогучого.

1O thou that dwellest in the covert of the Most High, and abidest in the shadow of the Almighty;

2Я кажу до Господа: Ти моя пристань і твердиня, мій Бог, на його вповати буду.

2I will say of the LORD, who is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust,

3Він бо спасе тебе від сїла птахоловця і від чуми погибельної.

3That He will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

4І закриє тебе покровом своїм, ти знайдеш притулок під крилами його; щитом і тарчею буде правда його.

4He will cover thee with His pinions, and under His wings shalt thou take refuge; His truth is a shield and a buckler.

5Не злякаєшся перед страхом серед ночі, перед стрілою, що в день летить.

5Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flieth by day;

6Перед чумою, що в темряві ходить, перед заразою, що в день нївечить.

6Of the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor of the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

7Тисяча впаде коло тебе, і десять тисячей правобіч від тебе, — тебе ж не займе.

7A thousand may fall at Thy side, and ten thousand at Thy right hand; it shall not come nigh thee.

8Тілько будеш позирати очима твоїми і помсту над беззаконними бачити.

8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the recompense of the wicked.

9Ти бо Господа всевишнього, мою пристань, взяв собі за оселю.

9For thou hast made the LORD who is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation.

10Так, не постигне тебе жадне нещастє, і жадне лихо не приблизиться до шатра твого:

10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.

11Бо він ангелам своїм звелить над тобою, берегти тебе на всїх дорогах твоїх.

11For He will give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

12На руках понесуть тебе, щоб нога твоя не спотикнулась о камінь.

12They shall bear thee upon their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

13На левів і зміїв будеш наступати, левчуків і гадюк ти розтопчеш.

13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and asp; the young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under feet.

14Він любить мене, за те збавлю його; поставлю його на місцї певному, він бо знає імя моє.

14'Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known My name.

15Покличе мене, і озвуся, буду коло него в тїснотї; вислобоню його і прославлю.

15He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him, and bring him to honour.

16Довгий вік йому дарую і дам побачити спасеннє моє.

16With long life will I satisfy him, and make Him to behold My salvation.'
