1Слово Господнє, що надійшло до Осії Беерієнка в часах Юдейських царів Озії, Йоатама, Ахаза й Езекії та за днїв Ізраїлського царя Еробоама Йоасенка.
1THE WORD of the LORD that came unto Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2Початок слова Господнього до Осії. І сказав Господь Осії: Ійди, возьми за себе жену-блудницю, та й мати меш дїти блудні; бо вельми блудує ся земля, покинувши Господа.
2When the LORD spoke at first with Hosea, the LORD said unto Hosea: 'Go, take unto thee a wife of harlotry and children of harlotry; for the land doth commit great harlotry, departing from the LORD.'
3І пійшов він та й узяв Гомеру Диблаїмівну; й завагонїла вона та й уродила йому сина.
3So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived, and bore him a son.
4І сказав йому Господь: Назви його Езреель (насїннє Боже); не задовгий бо час навідаю я карою за кров Езреелеву дом Егуїв і зроблю кінець царюванню дому Ізрайлевого,
4And the LORD said unto him: 'Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will visit the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel.
5І станеться того дня, що поломлю лука Ізрайлевого на Езреель-долинї.
5And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.'
6І завагонїла вона вдруге, та й уродила дочку; й повелїв йому: Назви її Лорухама (непомилувана); бо я вже не буду милуватись над домом Ізрайлевим, щоб прощати йому.
6And she conceived again, and bore a daughter. And He said unto him: 'Call her name Lo-ruhamah; for I will no more have compassion upon the house of Israel, that I should in any wise pardon them.
7Дом же Юдин помилую й спасу їх у Господї Бозї їх, спасу їх не луком, нї мечем, нї боєм, нї кіньми й їздецями.
7But I will have compassion upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, nor by horses, nor by horsemen.'
8Як же вона одлучила Лорухаму, завагонїла й вродила сина.
8Now when she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived, and bore a son.
9І сказав (Господь): Назви його Лоаммій (не мій нарід); ви бо не мій люд, а я не ваш.
9And He said: 'Call his name Lo-ammi; for ye are not My people, and I will not be yours.'
10Та все ж таки буде синів Ізрайлевих стілько, як піску морського, що не мож його нї переміряти, нї перелїчити, й там, де їм говорено: ви не мій люд, звати муть їх синами живого Бога.
10(2-1) Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass that, instead of that which was said unto them: 'Ye are not My people', it shall be said unto them: 'Ye are the children of the living God.'
11І зійдуться сини Юдині й сини Ізрайлеві докупи й настановлять над собою одного головою та й вийдуть із землї неволї; день бо Езреелїв великий.
11(2-2) And the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall go up out of the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
