1Боже од освете, Господе, Боже од освете, покажи се!
1O LORD, Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, Thou God to whom vengeance belongeth, shine forth.
2Подигни се, судијо земаљски, подај заслугу охолима.
2Lift up Thyself, Thou Judge of the earth; render to the proud their recompense.
3Докле ће се безбожници, Господе, докле ће се безбожници хвалити?
3LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult?
4Руже и охоло говоре, величају се сви који чине безакоње.
4They gush out, they speak arrogancy; all the workers of iniquity bear themselves loftily.
5Газе народ Твој, Господе, и достојање Твоје муче.
5They crush Thy people, O LORD, and afflict Thy heritage.
6Удовицу и дошљака убијају, и сироте море.
6They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
7И говоре: Неће видети Господ, и неће дознати Бог Јаковљев.
7And they say: 'The LORD will not see, neither will the God of Jacob give heed.'
8Оразумите се, прелуди људи! Будале! Кад ћете бити паметни?
8Consider, ye brutish among the people; and ye fools, when will ye understand?
9Који је створио ухо, зар не чује? И који је око начинио, зар не види?
9He that planted the ear, shall He not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He not see?
10Зар неће обличити који народе уразумљује, који учи човека да зна?
10He that instructeth nations, shall not He correct? even He that teacheth man knowledge?
11Господ зна мисли људима како су ништаве.
11The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
12Благо човеку кога Ти, Господе, уразумљујеш, и законом својим учиш;
12Happy is the man whom Thou instructest, O LORD, and teachest out of Thy law;
13Да би му дао мир у зле дане, док се ископа јама безбожнику.
13That Thou mayest give him rest from the days of evil, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
14Јер неће одбацити Господ народ свој, и достојање своје неће оставити.
14For the LORD will not cast off His people, neither will He forsake His inheritance.
15Јер ће се суд вратити на правду, у њега ће наћи сви правог срца.
15For right shall return unto justice, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
16Ко ће устати за мене супрот злима? Ко ће стати за мене супрот онима који чине безакоње?
16Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
17Кад ми Господ не би био помоћник, брзо би се душа моја преселила онамо где се ћути.
17Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had soon dwelt in silence.
18Кад кажем: Дрхће ми нога, милост Твоја, Господе, прихвата ме.
18If I say: 'My foot slippeth', Thy mercy, O LORD, holdeth me up.
19Кад се умноже бриге у срцу мом, утехе Твоје разговарају душу моју.
19When my cares are many within me, Thy comforts delight my soul.
20Еда ли ће се близу Тебе стати престо крвнички, и онај који намишља насиље насупрот закону?
20Shall the seat of wickedness have fellowship with Thee, which frameth mischief by statute?
21Спремају се на душу праведникову, и крв праву окривљују.
21They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.
22Али је Господ моје пристаниште, и Бог је мој тврдо уточиште моје.
22But the LORD hath been my high tower, and my God the rock of my refuge.
23Он ће им вратити за безакоње њихово, за њихову злоћу истребиће их, истребиће их Господ, Бог наш.
23And He hath brought upon them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil; the LORD our God will cut them off.
