1ای خداوند دشمنانم چه بسیار شده‌اند. بسیاری به ضد من برمی خیزند.
1The psalm of David when he fled from the face of his son Absalom.
2بسیاری برای جان من می‌گویند: «به جهت او در خداخلاصی نیست.» سلاه.
2Why, O Lord, are they multiplied that afflict me? many are they who rise up against me.
3لیکن تو‌ای خداوند گرداگرد من سپر هستی، جلال من و فرازنده سر من.
3Many say to my soul: There is no salvation for him in his God.
4به آواز خود نزدخداوند می‌خوانم و مرا از کوه مقدس خوداجابت می‌نماید. سلاه.
4But thou, O Lord art my protector, my glory, and the lifter up of my head.
5و اما من خسبیده، به خواب رفتم و بیدارشدم زیرا خداوند مرا تقویت می‌دهد.
5I have cried to the Lord with my voice: and he hath heard me from his holy hill.
6ازکرورهای مخلوق نخواهم ترسید که گرداگرد من صف بسته‌اند.
6I have slept and taken my rest: and I have risen up, because the Lord hath protected me.
7ای خداوند، برخیز! ای خدای من، مرابرهان! زیرا بر رخسار همه دشمنانم زدی؛ دندانهای شریران را شکستی.
7I will not fear thousands of the people, surrounding me: arise, O Lord; save me, O my God.
8نجات از آن خداوند است و برکت تو بر قوم تو می‌باشد. سلاه.
8For thou hast struck all them who are my adversaries without cause: thou hast broken the teeth of sinners.
