1Thinko aka caih Israel taengah Pathen tah then taktak.
1BOOK III A Psalm of Asaph. Surely God is good to Israel, even to such as are pure in heart.
2Tedae kai tah ka kho he bet bung khaw bung bangla, ka khokan paloe khaw paloe pawt bangla ka om.
2But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
3Halang rhoek loh ngaimongnah neh a thangthen uh te ka hmuh vaengah ka thatlai coeng.
3For I was envious at the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4Amih tah dueknah dongah thuengthuelnah om pawt tih, a pumtak khaw len.
4For there are no pangs at their death, and their body is sound.
5hlanghing kah thakthaenah loh amih te nan pawt tih hlanghing taengkah lucik khaw ya uh pawh.
5In the trouble of man they are not; neither are they plagued like men.
6Te dongah hoemnah te amih kah oihnun la om tih, a kuthlahnah hnisui a khuk uh.
6Therefore pride is as a chain about their neck; violence covereth them as a garment.
7A mik tha te coe tih, a thinko ngaihlihnah loh vikvuek uh.
7Their eyes stand forth from fatness; they are gone beyond the imaginations of their heart.
8Boethae neh palawm uh tih cal uh. Hnaemtaeknah neh a sang la cal uh.
8They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression; they speak as if there were none on high.
9A ka te vaan ah a tael dae a lai loh diklai ah cet.
9They have set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10Te dongah a pilnam loh hela ha mael ha mael tih khuengrhueng tui a yawn uh.
10Therefore His people return hither; and waters of fullness are drained out by them.
11Te vaengah, “Pathen loh metlam a ming tih, Khohni taengah lungming khaw om van nim,” a ti uh.
11And they say: 'How doth God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?'
12Amih halang rhoek pataeng kumhal ah a khuehtawn loh thayoeituipan la a rhoeng pah daeta ke.
12Behold, such are the wicked; and they that are always at ease increase riches.
13A poeyoek la ka thinko ka saelh tih, cimnah neh ka kut ka silh dae.
13Surely in vain have I cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocency;
14Tedae hnin takuem lucik neh ka om tih mincang takuem ah kai taengah toelthamnah ha om.
14For all the day have I been plagued, and my chastisement came every morning.
15Te tlam te ka tae koinih na ca rhoek kah thawnpuei te kan hnukpoh tak ve ka ti.
15If I had said: 'I will speak thus', behold, I had been faithless to the generation of Thy children.
16Hekah he ming ham ka moeh dae ka mik ah thakthaenah la om.
16And when I pondered how I might know this, it was wearisome in mine eyes;
17Pathen kah rhokso khuila ka kun daengah amih kah hmailong te ka yakming.
17Until I entered into the sanctuary of God, and considered their end.
18Amih te long hnal ah na khueh tih pocinah la na cungku sak taktak.
18Surely Thou settest them in slippery places; Thou hurlest them down to utter ruin.
19Mikhaptok ah mueirhih loh imsuep neh a thup uh tih a cing te metlam a om uh.
19How are they become a desolation in a moment! They are wholly consumed by terrors.
20Haenghang hnukah mueimang bangla ka Boeipa loh amih kah mueihlip a haenghang vaengah hnael pah.
20As a dream when one awaketh, so, O Lord, when Thou arousest Thyself, Thou wilt despise their semblance.
21Ka thinko loh khikhi hal tih ka hmuet a phawt vaengah.
21For my heart was in a ferment, and I was pricked in my reins.
22Kai loh ka kotalh tih na hmaiah rhamsa bangla ka om khaw ka ming pawh.
22But I was brutish, and ignorant; I was as a beast before Thee.
23Tedae kai tah nang taengah ka om taitu tih ka bantang kut nan tuuk.
23Nevertheless I am continually with Thee; Thou holdest my right hand.
24Na cilsuep neh kai nan mawt tih thangpomnah hnukah kai nan khoem ni.
24Thou wilt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me with glory.
25Vaan dongah kai ham unim aka om. Tedae namah taengah ka om atah diklai ah ba khaw ka ngaih pawh.
25Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And beside Thee I desire none upon earth.
26Ka pumsa neh ka thinko loh yawk mai suidae kumhal ah ka thinko kah lungpang neh ka hamsum la Pathen om.
26My flesh and my heart faileth; but God is the rock of my heart and my portion for ever.
27Namah lamkah a hlahloei loh a milh uh vaengah, nang taengah aka cukhalh boeih te na biit taktak coeng he.
27For, lo, they that go far from Thee shall perish; Thou dost destroy all them that go astray from Thee.
28Tedae kai loh kamah ham Pathen vang te ka kai. Na bitat cungkuem thui hamla ka hlipyingnah ka Boeipa Yahovah taengah a then ka khueh.
28But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all Thy works.
