1上帝實在恩待 以色列 那些清心的人！
1BOOK III A Psalm of Asaph. Surely God is good to Israel, even to such as are pure in heart.
2至於我，我的腳幾乎失閃； 我的腳險些滑跌。
2But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.
3我見惡人和狂傲人享平安就心懷不平。
3For I was envious at the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.
4他們死的時候沒有疼痛； 他們的力氣卻也壯實。
4For there are no pangs at their death, and their body is sound.
5他們不像別人受苦， 也不像別人遭災。
5In the trouble of man they are not; neither are they plagued like men.
6所以，驕傲如鏈子戴在他們的項上； 強暴像衣裳遮住他們的身體。
6Therefore pride is as a chain about their neck; violence covereth them as a garment.
7他們的眼睛因體胖而凸出； 他們所得的，過於心裏所想的。
7Their eyes stand forth from fatness; they are gone beyond the imaginations of their heart.
8他們譏笑人，憑惡意說欺壓人的話； 他們說話自高。
8They scoff, and in wickedness utter oppression; they speak as if there were none on high.
9他們的口褻瀆上天； 他們的舌毀謗全地。
9They have set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
10所以上帝的民歸到這裏， 喝盡了滿 杯的苦 水。
10Therefore His people return hither; and waters of fullness are drained out by them.
11他們說：上帝怎能曉得？ 至高者豈有知識呢？
11And they say: 'How doth God know? And is there knowledge in the Most High?'
12看哪，這就是惡人； 他們既是常享安逸，財寶便加增。
12Behold, such are the wicked; and they that are always at ease increase riches.
13我實在徒然潔淨了我的心， 徒然洗手表明無辜。
13Surely in vain have I cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocency;
14因為，我終日遭災難； 每早晨受懲治。
14For all the day have I been plagued, and my chastisement came every morning.
15我若說，我要這樣講， 這就是以奸詐待你的眾子。
15If I had said: 'I will speak thus', behold, I had been faithless to the generation of Thy children.
16我思索怎能明白這事， 眼看實係為難，
16And when I pondered how I might know this, it was wearisome in mine eyes;
17等我進了上帝的聖所， 思想他們的結局。
17Until I entered into the sanctuary of God, and considered their end.
18你實在把他們安在滑地， 使他們掉在沉淪之中。
18Surely Thou settest them in slippery places; Thou hurlest them down to utter ruin.
19他們轉眼之間成了何等的荒涼！ 他們被驚恐滅盡了。
19How are they become a desolation in a moment! They are wholly consumed by terrors.
20人睡醒了，怎樣看夢； 主啊，你醒了也必照樣輕看他們的影像。
20As a dream when one awaketh, so, O Lord, when Thou arousest Thyself, Thou wilt despise their semblance.
21因而，我心裏發酸， 肺腑被刺。
21For my heart was in a ferment, and I was pricked in my reins.
22我這樣愚昧無知， 在你面前如畜類一般。
22But I was brutish, and ignorant; I was as a beast before Thee.
23然而，我常與你同在； 你攙着我的右手。
23Nevertheless I am continually with Thee; Thou holdest my right hand.
24你要以你的訓言引導我， 以後必接我到榮耀裏。
24Thou wilt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me with glory.
25除你以外，在天上我有誰呢？ 除你以外，在地上我也沒有所愛慕的。
25Whom have I in heaven but Thee? And beside Thee I desire none upon earth.
26我的肉體和我的心腸衰殘； 但上帝是我心裏的力量， 又是我的福分，直到永遠。
26My flesh and my heart faileth; but God is the rock of my heart and my portion for ever.
27遠離你的，必要死亡； 凡離棄你行邪淫的，你都滅絕了。
27For, lo, they that go far from Thee shall perish; Thou dost destroy all them that go astray from Thee.
28但我親近上帝是與我有益； 我以主耶和華為我的避難所， 好叫我述說你一切的作為。
28But as for me, the nearness of God is my good; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all Thy works.
