1上帝啊，求你憐憫我，因為人要把我吞了， 終日攻擊欺壓我。
1(56-1) For the Leader; upon Jonath-elem-rehokim. A Psalm of David; Michtam; when the Philistines took him in Gath. (56-2) Be gracious unto me, O God, for man would swallow me up; all the day he fighting oppresseth me.
2我的仇敵終日要把我吞了， 因逞驕傲攻擊我的人甚多。
2(56-3) They that lie in wait for me would swallow me up all the day; for they are many that fight against me, O Most High,
3我懼怕的時候要倚靠你。
3(56-4) In the day that I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee.
4我倚靠上帝，我要讚美他的話； 我倚靠上帝，必不懼怕。 血氣之輩能把我怎麼樣呢？
4(56-5) In God — I will praise His word — in God do I trust, I will not be afraid; what can flesh do unto me?
5他們終日顛倒我的話； 他們一切的心思都是要害我。
5(56-6) All the day they trouble mine affairs; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6他們聚集，埋伏窺探我的腳蹤， 等候要害我的命。
6(56-7) They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps; according as they have waited for my soul.
7他們豈能因罪孽逃脫嗎？ 上帝啊，求你在怒中使眾民墮落！
7(56-8) Because of iniquity cast them out; in anger bring down the peoples, O God.
8我幾次流離，你都記數； 求你把我眼淚裝在你的皮袋裏。 這不都記在你冊子上嗎？
8(56-9) Thou has counted my wanderings; put Thou my tears into Thy bottle; are they not in Thy book?
9我呼求的日子，我的仇敵都要轉身退後。 上帝幫助我，這是我所知道的。
9(56-10) Then shall mine enemies turn back in the day that I call; this I know, that God is for me.
10我倚靠上帝，我要讚美他的話； 我倚靠耶和華，我要讚美他的話。
10(56-11) In God — I will praise His word — in the LORD — I will praise His word —
11我倚靠上帝，必不懼怕。 人能把我怎麼樣呢？
11(56-12) In God do I trust, I will not be afraid; what can man do unto me?
12上帝啊，我向你所許的願在我身上； 我要將感謝祭獻給你。
12(56-13) Thy vows are upon me, O God; I will render thank-offerings unto Thee.
13因為你救我的命脫離死亡。 你豈不是 救護 我的腳不跌倒、 使我在生命光中行在上帝面前嗎？
13(56-14) For thou hast delivered my soul from death; hast Thou not delivered my feet from stumbling? that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
