1以色列 人要說： 若不是耶和華幫助我們，
1A Song of Ascents; of David. 'If it had not been the LORD who was for us', let Israel now say;
2若不是耶和華幫助我們， 當人起來攻擊我們、
2'If it had not been the LORD who was for us, when men rose up against us,
3向我們發怒的時候， 就把我們活活地吞了。
3Then they had swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us;
4那時，波濤必漫過我們， 河水必淹沒我們，
4Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul;
5狂傲的水必淹沒我們。
5Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.'
6耶和華是應當稱頌的！ 他沒有把我們當野食交給他們吞吃。
6Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.
7我們好像雀鳥，從捕鳥人的網羅裏逃脫； 網羅破裂，我們逃脫了。
7Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
8我們得幫助， 是在乎 倚靠 造天地之耶和華的名。
8Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
