1Проводиреві хора: Синам Корея в науку. Боже, ми чули слухами нашими, батьки наші розказували нам про велике дїло, що зробив єси за часів їх, в давні давна.
1Unto the end, for them that shall be changed, for the sons of Core, for understanding. A canticle for the Beloved.
2Ти вигнав народи рукою твоєю, а їх осадив; знищив народи, а їх розмножив.
2My heart hath uttered a good word I speak my works to the king; My tongue is the pen of a scrivener that writeth swiftly.
3Не мечем бо своїм вони землю забрали, і не їх рука спасла їх, а твоя правиця і твоє рамя, і сьвітло лиця твого; ти бо вподобав їх.
3Thou art beautiful above the sons of men: grace is poured abroad in thy lips; therefore hath God blessed thee for ever.
4Ти сам єси царь мій, о Боже; звели спасеннє Якова!
4Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O thou most mighty.
5Через тебе побьємо гнобителїв наших; через імя твоє розтопчемо тих, що проти нас встали.
5With thy comeliness and thy beauty set out, proceed prosperously, and reign. Because of truth and meekness and justice: and thy right hand shall conduct thee wonderfully.
6Не вповаю бо на лука мого, і не спасе мене меч мій.
6Thy arrows are sharp: under thee shall people fall, into the hearts of the king’s enemies.
7Ти бо спасаєш нас від гнобителїв наших і посоромляєш ненавидників наших.
7Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of uprightness.
8Богом хвалимося цїлий день, і імя твоє будем прославляти по віки.
8Thou hast loved justice, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
9А тепер ти нас відкинув і засоромив, і не виступив з військами нашими.
9Myrrh and stacte and cassia perfume thy garments, from the ivory houses: out of which
10Ти допустив, щоб ми назад ступали перед гонительом, а ненавидники наші щоб нас для себе рабували.
10The daughters of kings have delighted thee in thy glory. The queen stood on thy right hand, in gilded clothing; surrounded with variety.
11Віддав єси нас, неначе вівцї на жир, і розсипав нас між народи.
11Hearken, O daughter, and see, and incline thy ear: and forget thy people and thy father’s house.
12Продав єси народ твій без користї, не поставивши за його цїни високої.
12And the king shall greatly desire thy beauty; for he is the Lord thy God, and him they shall adore.
13Ти віддав нас на погорду сусїдам нашим, на сьміховиско і наругу тим, що кругом нас.
13And the daughters of Tyre with gifts, yea, all the rich among the people, shall entreat thy countenance.
14Зробив нас поговоркою між народами, щоб люде хитали головами.
14All the glory of the king’s daughter is within in golden borders,
15Цїлий день передо мною мій сором, і встид лиця мого покрив мене,
15Clothed round about with varieties. After her shall virgins be brought to the king: her neighbours shall be brought to thee.
16Задля голосу ругателя і хулителя, задля ворога і мстителя.
16They shall be brought with gladness and rejoicing: they shall be brought into the temple of the king.
17Се все впало на нас, та ми не забули тебе, і не спроневірились завіту твому.
17Instead of thy fathers, sons are born to thee: thou shalt make them princes over all the earth.
18Не відвернулось серце наше, і не зійшли стопи наші з дороги твоєї;
18They shall remember thy name throughout all generations. Therefore shall people praise thee for ever; yea, for ever and ever.
19Хоч ти розтер нас на місцї людожерів, і покрив нас тїнню смертї.

20Коли б ми забули імя Бога нашого і простягли руки наші до бога чужого.

21То чи не провідав би се Бог? Знає бо він тайни серця.

22Але ж задля тебе вбивають нас цїлий день, вважають нас, як овечок на зарізь.

23Пробудися! Чого спиш, Господи? Встань, не відкидай нас на віки.

24Чого закриваєш лице твоє, забуваєш за горе наше і тїсноту нашу.

25Бо душа наша кинута між порохи а черево наше до землї прилипло.
