Psalmen 130
Petrus Canisius Bible, 1939 (De Heilige Schrift)
JPS Tanakh (Jewish Publication Society, 1917)
1Een bedevaartslied. Uit de diepten, o Jahweh, roep ik tot U,
1A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths have I called Thee, O LORD.
2Heer, hoor mijn klagen; Laat uw oren toch luisteren Naar mijn bidden en smeken!
2Lord, hearken unto my voice; let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3Ach Jahweh, zo Gij de zonde gedenkt, Ach Heer, wie zou het bestaan?
3If Thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
4Neen, bij U is vergeving, Opdat ik vol hoop U zou vrezen, o Jahweh.
4For with Thee there is forgiveness, that Thou mayest be feared.
5Mijn ziel schouwt hunkerend naar zijn belofte, Mijn ziel smacht naar den Heer;
5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.
6Meer dan wachters naar de morgen,
6My soul waiteth for the Lord, more than watchmen for the morning; yea, more than watchmen for the morning.
7Ziet Israël naar Jahweh uit. Want bij Jahweh is ontferming, En overvloed van verlossing;
7O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption.
8Hij zal Israël bevrijden Van al zijn zonden!
8And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
