1Een psalm van de zonen van Kore; een lied. Zijn stichting op de heilige bergen Heeft Jahweh lief;
1A Psalm of the sons of Korah; a Song. His foundation is in the holy mountains.
2De poorten van Sion nog meer Dan alle woonsteden van Jakob!
2The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3Heerlijke dingen zegt Hij van u, Stad van God:
3Glorious things are spoken of Thee, O city of God. Selah
4Ik zal Ráhab en Babel tellen Bij mijn belijders; Zie, Filistea, Tyrus en Koesj; Hier zijn ze geboren!
4'I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon as among them that know Me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this one was born there.'
5Ja, van Sion zal men eens zeggen: “Man voor man is daar geboren!” En de Allerhoogste zal het bevestigen,
5But of Zion it shall be said: 'This man and that was born in her; and the Most High Himself doth establish her.'
6Jahweh het schrijven In het boek van de volkeren: “Hier zijn ze geboren!”
6The LORD shall count in the register of the peoples: 'This one was born there.' Selah
7Dan zullen ze allen in reidans zingen: “In U is mijn woning!”
7And whether they sing or dance, all my thoughts are in Thee.
