1(89-1) Maschil of Ethan the Ezrahite. (89-2) I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever; to all generations will I make known Thy faithfulness with my mouth.
1На науку; від Етана Езрагітського. Про милостї Господа буду сьпівати по віки, з роду в рід устами моїми звіщати вірність твою.
2(89-3) For I have said: 'For ever is mercy built; in the very heavens Thou dost establish Thy faithfulness.
2Я бо сказав собі, що на віки основана милість, і на небесах утвердиш вірність твою.
3(89-4) I have made a covenant with My chosen, I have sworn unto David My servant:
3Зробив я завіт з вибраньцем моїм; я клявся перед Давидом, слугою моїм:
4(89-5) For ever will I establish thy seed, and build up thy throne to all generations.' Selah
4На віки забезпечу насїннє твоє, і на всї роди престіл твій збудую.
5(89-6) So shall the heavens praise Thy wonders, O LORD, Thy faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.
5І небеса прославлять чудеса твої, Господи, і вірність твою в зборі сьвятих.
6(89-7) For who in the skies can be compared unto the LORD, who among the sons of might can be likened unto the LORD,
6Кого бо над облаками рівняти з Господом? Хто між синами потужних рівня Господеві?
7(89-8) A God dreaded in the great council of the holy ones, and feared of all them that are about Him?
7Бог вельми страшний в громадї сьвятих, і страшний над усїма, що кругом його.
8(89-9) O LORD God of hosts, who is a mighty one, like unto Thee, O LORD? And Thy faithfulness is round about Thee.
8Господи, Боже сил небесних, хто потужний, як ти, Господи? І вірність твоя кругом тебе.
9(89-10) Thou rulest the proud swelling of the sea; when the waves thereof arise, Thou stillest them.
9Ти правиш над бурханнєм моря; підіймуться филї його, — ти втихомиряєш їх.
10(89-11) Thou didst crush Rahab, as one that is slain; Thou didst scatter Thine enemies with the arm of Thy strength.
10Ти розтоптав Египет, як вбитого; сильним рамям твоїм розсипав ворогів твоїх.
11(89-12) Thine are the heavens, Thine also the earth; the world and the fulness thereof, Thou hast founded them.
11Твої небеса і земля твоя; земного круга і всю повню його ти основав єси.
12(89-13) The north and the south, Thou hast created them; Tabor and Hermon rejoice in Thy name.
12Північ і полудень — ти сотворив їх; Табор і Гермон торжествують задля імені твого.
13(89-14) Thine is an arm with might; strong is Thy hand, and exalted is Thy right hand.
13Рамя твоє потужне, рука твоя сильна, висока правиця твоя.
14(89-15) Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Thy throne; mercy and truth go before Thee.
14Справедливість і суд — підвалини твого престолу; милість і правда йдуть перед лицем твоїм.
15(89-16) Happy is the people that know the joyful shout; they walk, O LORD, in the light of Thy countenance.
15Щасливий нарід, що розуміє голос твій торжествуючий! Господи, при сьвітлї лиця твого вони ходити будуть.
16(89-17) In Thy name do they rejoice all the day; and through Thy righteousness are they exalted.
16Твоїм імям радуються цїлий день, і справедливостю твоєю будуть возвисшені.
17(89-18) For Thou art the glory of their strength; and in Thy favour our horn is exalted.
17Ти бо єси окраса сили їх, і благоволеннєм твоїм піднесеться ріг наш;
18(89-19) For of the LORD is our shield; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
18Бо Господь щит наш, і сьвятий Ізраїля царь наш.
19(89-20) Then Thou spokest in vision to Thy godly ones, and saidst: 'I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
19Тодї говорив ти у видїнню про твого праведника і сказав: Положив я поміч на потужного, я вивисшив вибранця з народу.
20(89-21) I have found David My servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him;
20Знайшов Давида, слугу мого, сьвятим миром моїм помазав його.
21(89-22) With whom My hand shall be established; Mine arm also shall strengthen him.
21З ним буде кріпко рука моя, і рамя моє дасть йому силу.
22(89-23) The enemy shall not exact from him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
22Не подужає його ворог, і син несправедливостї не буде гнобити його;
23(89-24) And I will beat to pieces his adversaries before him, and smite them that hate him.
23Я розітру перед очима його напасників, і поражу ненависників його.
24(89-25) But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him; and through My name shall his horn be exalted.
24А моя вірність і моя милість буде з ним, і моїм імям буде возвисшений ріг його.
25(89-26) I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.
25Положу руку його на море, а правицю його на ріки.
26(89-27) He shall call unto Me: Thou art my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
26Він буде звати мене: Ти єси батько мій, Бог мій і скеля спасення мого!
27(89-28) I also will appoint him first-born, the highest of the kings of the earth.
27І зроблю його первородним, найвисшим над царями землї.
28(89-29) For ever will I keep for him My mercy, and My covenant shall stand fast with him.
28По віки сохраню милість мою до него, і заповіт мій з ним не зміниться.
29(89-30) His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
29І посаджу насїннє його на віки, і престіл його, як днї небесні.
30(89-31) If his children forsake My law, and walk not in Mine ordinances;
30Коли сини покинуть закон мій, і не будуть ходити в присудах моїх,
31(89-32) If they profane My statutes, and keep not My commandments;
31Коли осквернять установи мої, і заповідї мої не будуть хоронити,
32(89-33) Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with strokes.
32То жезлом покараю переступи їх, і ударами несправедливість їх,
33(89-34) But My mercy will I not break off from him, nor will I be false to My faithfulness.
33Але милостї моєї, не одійму від його, і не кину вірностї моєї.
34(89-35) My covenant will I not profane, nor alter that which is gone out of My lips.
34Не зневажу заповіту мого і не зміню, що вийшло з уст моїх.
35(89-36) Once have I sworn by My holiness: Surely I will not be false unto David;
35Один раз поклявся я сьвятостю моєю: Не злукавлю перед Давидом!
36(89-37) His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before Me.
36Насїннє його буде по віки, і престіл його, як сонце передо мною;
37(89-38) It shall be established for ever as the moon; and be stedfast as the witness in sky.' Selah
37Як місяць, так буде він стояти вічно, а сьвідок на облаках вірний.
38(89-39) But Thou hast cast off and rejected, Thou hast been wroth with Thine anointed.
38Тепер же ти відкинув і відрікся, розгнївився вельми на помазанця твого;
39(89-40) Thou hast abhorred the covenant of Thy servant; Thou hast profaned his crown even to the ground.
39Ти відкинув заповіт слуги твого, зневажив до землї корону його.
40(89-41) Thou hast broken down all his fences; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
40Розвалив усї мури його, обернув в руїну оружні його замки.
41(89-42) All that pass by the way spoil him; he is become a taunt to his neighbours.
41Рабують його всї, котрих дорога сюди попаде; сьміховиском стався сусїдам своїм.
42(89-43) Thou hast exalted the right hand of his adversaries; Thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
42Ти піднїс правицю напасників його; обрадував всїх ворогів його.
43(89-44) Yea, Thou turnest back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
43Гострого меча його ти на бік одводив, і не дав йому подужати в бою.
44(89-45) Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
44Ти знищив славу його, і повалив на землю престіл його.
45(89-46) The days of his youth hast Thou shortened; Thou hast covered him with shame. Selah
45Ти убавив йому віку молодого, соромом окрив його.
46(89-47) How long, O LORD, wilt Thou hide Thyself for ever? How long shall Thy wrath burn like fire?
46Доки, Господи, будеш все ховатись, буде огнем палати ярість твоя?
47(89-48) O remember how short my time is; for what vanity hast Thou created all the children of men!
47Згадай що до мене, яке життє моє! Хиба на суєту мізерну сотворив ти всїх дїтей людських?
48(89-49) What man is he that liveth and shall not see death, that shall deliver his soul from the power of the grave? Selah
48Котрий чоловік жиє і не побачить смертї, визволить душу свою від сирої землї?
49(89-50) Where are Thy former mercies, O Lord, which Thou didst swear unto David in Thy faithfulness?
49Господи, де твої давні милостї, про які ти вірностю перед Давидом клявся?
50(89-51) Remember, Lord, the taunt of Thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the taunt of so many peoples;
50Згадай, Господи, наругу слуг твоїх, що ношу в серцї моїм від усїх тих багато народів;
51(89-52) Wherewith Thine enemies have taunted, O LORD, wherewith they have taunted the footsteps of Thine anointed.
51Від ворогів твоїх, Господи, що соромили слїди помазанця твого. Благословен Господь по віки! Амінь, нехай так буде, амінь!
52(89-53) Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
