1A Psalm of Asaph. O God, the heathen are come into Thine inheritance; they have defiled Thy holy temple; they have made Jerusalem into heaps.
1Псальма Асафова. Боже, погани увійшли в наслїддє твоє, осквернили сьвятий храм твій, обернули Єрусалим в руїну.
2They have given the dead bodies of Thy servants to be food unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of Thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
2Трупом слуг твоїх птаство небесне годували, тїло праведних твоїх зьвірам земним кидали.
3They have shed their blood like water round about Jerusalem, with none to bury them.
3Як воду, кров їх кругом Єрусалима розливали, і не було кому ховати їх.
4We are become a taunt to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
4Ми стали посьміховиском для сусїдів наших, наругою і соромом для всїх, що кругом нас осїлись.
5How long, O LORD, wilt Thou be angry for ever? How long will Thy jealousy burn like fire?
5Доки, Господи, буде гнїв твій тревати, і серце твоє поломям палати?
6Pour out Thy wrath upon the nations that know Thee not, and upon the kingdoms that call not upon Thy name.
6Вилий гнїв твій на народи, що тебе не знають, і на царства, що не призивають імені твого!
7For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his habitation.
7Вони бо зажерли Якова, і зруйнували домівку його.
8Remember not against us the iniquities of our forefathers; let Thy compassions speedily come to meet us; for we are brought very low.
8Не памятай нам несправедливостї давні! Пошли нам скоро на зустріч милосердє твоє, ми бо дуже нужденні стали!
9Help us, O God of our salvation, for the sake of the glory of Thy name; and deliver us, and forgive our sins, for Thy name's sake.
9Поможи нам, Боже, спасителю наш, для слави імені твого; і спаси нас і прости нам гріхи наші задля імені твого!
10Wherefore should the nations say: 'Where is their God?' Let the avenging of Thy servants' blood that is shed be made known among the nations in our sight.
10Чому мали б казати народи: Де Бог їх? Нехай народи перед очима нашими дізнають помсту за кров слуг твоїх пролиту!
11Let the groaning of the prisoner come before Thee; according to the greatness of Thy power set free those that are appointed to death;
11Нехай дійде до тебе стогнаннє невольника! По великостї рамени твого сохрани дїтей смертї!
12And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached Thee, O Lord.
12І верни в семеро у серце сусїдам нашим наругу їх, котрою зневажали тебе, Господи!
13So we that are Thy people and the flock of Thy pasture will give Thee thanks for ever; we will tell of Thy praise to all generations.
13Ми ж, люде твої і стадо твого пасовиска, будем вічно прославляти тебе, звіщати хвалу твою з роду в рід.
