1Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous, praise is comely for the upright.
1Радуйтесь, праведні в Господї! Щирим личить сьпівати псальми.
2Give thanks unto the LORD with harp, sing praises unto Him with the psaltery of ten strings.
2Прославляйте Господа на гуслях; сьпівайте псальми при гарфі десятострунній.
3Sing unto Him a new song; play skilfully amid shouts of joy.
3Засьпівайте йому нову пісню! Грайте-вигравайте з веселим відгуком.
4For the word of the LORD is upright; and all His work is done in faithfulness.
4Бо праве слово Господнє, і всї дїла його вірні.
5He loveth righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD.
5Він любить справедливість і правду; земля повна доброти Господа.
6By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
6Словом Господнїм сотворені небеса, і все войнство їх — подихом уст його.
7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; He layeth up the deeps in storehouses.
7Він збирає всї морські води до купи, і русла для поводї прокладає.
8Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
8Нехай боїться Господа вся земля! Перед ним нехай мають страх всї, що жиють на сьвітї!
9For He spoke, and it was; He commanded, and it stood.
9Бо він сказав, і було так; він звелїв, і сталось.
10The LORD bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.
10Господь повертає в нїщо раду народів, він нївечить задуми людські.
11The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.
11Присуд Господнїй тріває вічно, помисли серця його з роду в рід.
12Happy is the nation whose God is the LORD; the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.
12Щасливі народи, що зовуть Господа Богом своїм, — народ, що вибрав його собі за власність!
13The LORD looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;
13Господь поглядає з неба, він бачить всїх дїтей людських.
14From the place of His habitation He looketh intently upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
14З престола дому свого дивиться він на всїх живущих на землї;
15He that fashioneth the hearts of them all, that considereth all their doings.
15Він, що сотворив усї серця їх, що знає всї дїла їх.
16A king is not saved by the multitude of a host; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
16Не спасає царя велике військо його, і не визволиться лицарь великою силою своєю.
17A horse is a vain thing for safety; neither doth it afford escape by its great strength.
17Марна надїя спастись конем; хоч велика в його сила, не втїкти йому.
18Behold, the eye of the LORD is toward them that fear Him, toward them that wait for His mercy;
18Ось бо Господнї очі на тих, що бояться його, на тих, що вповають на милосердє його,
19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
19Щоб рятувати душу їх од смертї, і спасти життє під час голоднечі.
20Our soul hath waited for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
20Душа наша чекає на Господа; він наша поміч і щит наш.
21For in Him doth our heart rejoice, because we have trusted in His holy name.
21Ним звеселиться серце наше, бо ми вповали на сьвяте імя його.
22Let Thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we have waited for Thee.
22Милосердє твоє, Господи, нехай буде над нами, ми бо вповали на тебе.
