1Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous, praise is comely for the upright.
1Веселите се праведници пред Господом; праведнима доликује славити.
2Give thanks unto the LORD with harp, sing praises unto Him with the psaltery of ten strings.
2Славите Господа гуслама, ударајте Му у псалтир од десет жица.
3Sing unto Him a new song; play skilfully amid shouts of joy.
3Певајте Му песму нову, сложно ударајте подвикујући;
4For the word of the LORD is upright; and all His work is done in faithfulness.
4Јер је права реч Господња, и свако дело Његово истинито.
5He loveth righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the lovingkindness of the LORD.
5Он љуби правду и суд, доброте је Господње пуна земља.
6By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth.
6Речју Господњом небеса се створише, и духом уста Његових сва војска њихова.
7He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; He layeth up the deeps in storehouses.
7Као у гомилу сабра воду морску, и пропасти метну у спреме.
8Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
8Нек се боји Господа сва земља, и нека стрепи пред Њим све што живи по васиљени;
9For He spoke, and it was; He commanded, and it stood.
9Јер Он рече, и постаде; Он заповеди, и показа се.
10The LORD bringeth the counsel of the nations to nought; He maketh the thoughts of the peoples to be of no effect.
10Господ разбија намере незнабошцима, уништава помисли народима.
11The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.
11Намера је Господња тврда довека, мисли срца његова од колена на колено.
12Happy is the nation whose God is the LORD; the people whom He hath chosen for His own inheritance.
12Благо народу, коме је Бог Господ, племену, које је Он изабрао себи за наслеђе.
13The LORD looketh from heaven; He beholdeth all the sons of men;
13С неба гледа Господ, види све синове људске;
14From the place of His habitation He looketh intently upon all the inhabitants of the earth;
14С престола, на коме седи, погледа на све који живе на земљи.
15He that fashioneth the hearts of them all, that considereth all their doings.
15Он је створио сва срца њихова, Он и зна сва дела њихова.
16A king is not saved by the multitude of a host; a mighty man is not delivered by great strength.
16Неће помоћи цару велика сила, неће заштитити јакога велика снага;
17A horse is a vain thing for safety; neither doth it afford escape by its great strength.
17Није у коњу уздање да ће помоћи; ако му је и велика снага, неће избавити.
18Behold, the eye of the LORD is toward them that fear Him, toward them that wait for His mercy;
18Гле, око је Господње на онима који Га се боје, и на онима који чекају милост Његову.
19To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
19Он ће душу њихову избавити од смрти, и прехранити их у гладне године.
20Our soul hath waited for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
20Душа се наша узда у Господа; Он је помоћ наша и штит наш.
21For in Him doth our heart rejoice, because we have trusted in His holy name.
21О Њему се весели срце наше; јер се у свето име Његово уздамо.
22Let Thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we have waited for Thee.
22Да буде милост Твоја, Господе, на нама, као што се уздамо у Тебе.
