1BOOK V 'O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.'
1Хвалите Господа, јер је добар; јер је довека милост Његова.
2So let the redeemed of the LORD say, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
2Тако нека кажу које је избавио Господ, које је избавио из руке непријатељеве,
3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
3Скупио их из земаља, од истока и запада, од севера и мора.
4They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; they found no city of habitation.
4Луташе по пустињи где се не живи, пута граду насељеном не находише;
5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
5Беху гладни и жедни, и душа њихова изнемагаше у њима;
6Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.
6Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој; и избави их из невоље њихове.
7And He led them by a straight way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
7И изведе их на прав пут, који иде у град насељени.
8Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
8Нека хвале Господа за милост Његову, и за чудеса Његова ради синова људских!
9For He hath satisfied the longing soul, and the hungry soul He hath filled with good.
9Јер сити душу ташту, и душу гладну пуни добра.
10Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron —
10Седеше у тами и у сену смртном, оковани у тугу и у гвожђе;
11Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the Most High.
11Јер не слушаше речи Божијих, и не марише за вољу Вишњег.
12Therefore He humbled their heart with travail, they stumbled, and there was none to help —
12Он поништи срце њихово страдањем; спотакоше се, и не беше кога да помогне.
13They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.
13Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој, и избави их из невоље њихове;
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.
14Изведе их из таме и сена смртног, и раскиде окове њихове.
15Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
15Нека хвале Господа за милост Његову, и за чудеса Његова ради синова људских!
16For He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
16Јер разби врата бронзана, и преворнице гвоздене сломи.
17Crazed because of the way of their transgression, and afflicted because of their iniquities —
17Безумници страдаше за неваљале путеве своје, и за неправде своје.
18Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near unto the gates of death —
18Свако се јело гадило души њиховој, и дођоше до врата смртних.
19They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses;
19Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој, и избави их из невоље њихове.
20He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves.
20Посла реч своју и исцели их, и избави их из гроба њиховог.
21Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
21Нека хвале Господа за милост Његову, и за чудеса Његова ради синова људских!
22And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with singing.
22И нека принесу жртву за хвалу, и казују дела Његова у песмама!
23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters —
23Који плове по мору на корабљима, и раде на великим водама,
24These saw the works of the LORD, and His wonders in the deep;
24Они су видели дела Господња, и чудеса Његова у дубини.
25For He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves thereof;
25Каже, и диже се силан ветар, и устају вали на њему,
26They mounted up to the heaven, they went down to the deeps; their soul melted away because of trouble;
26Дижу се до небеса и спуштају до бездана: душа се њихова у невољи разлива;
27They reeled to and fro, and staggered like a drunken man, and all their wisdom was swallowed up —
27Посрћу и љуљају се као пијани; све мудрости њихове нестаје.
28They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses.
28Али завикаше ка Господу у тузи својој, и изведе их из невоље њихове.
29He made the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof were still.
29Он обраћа ветар у тишину, и вали њихови умукну.
30Then were they glad because they were quiet, and He led them unto their desired haven.
30Веселе се кад се стишају, и води их у пристаниште које желе.
31Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
31Нека хвале Господа за милост Његову, и за чудеса Његова ради синова људских!
32Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, and praise Him in the seat of the elders.
32Нека Га узвишују на сабору народном, на скупштини старешинској славе Га!
33He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and watersprings into a thirsty ground;
33Он претвара реке у пустињу, и изворе водене у сухоту,
34A fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
34Родну земљу у слану пустару за неваљалство оних који живе на њој.
35He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, and a dry land into watersprings.
35Он претвара пустињу у језера, и суву земљу у изворе водене,
36And there He maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;
36И насељава онамо гладне. Они зидају градове за живљење;
37And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase.
37Сеју поља, саде винограде и сабирају летину.
38He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
38Благосиља их и множе се јако, и стоке им не умањује.
39Again, they are minished and dwindle away through oppression of evil and sorrow.
39Пре их беше мало, падаху од зла и невоље, што их стизаше.
40He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.
40Он сипа срамоту на кнезове, и оставља их да лутају по пустињи где нема путева.
41Yet setteth He the needy on high from affliction, and maketh his families like a flock.
41Он извлачи убогога из невоље, и племена множи као стадо.
42The upright see it, and are glad; and all iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
42Добри виде и радују се, а свако неваљалство затискује уста своја.
43Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them consider the mercies of the LORD.
43Ко је мудар, нека запамти ово, и нека познају милости Господње.
