1BOOK V 'O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good, for His mercy endureth for ever.'
1จงขอบคุณพระยาห์เวห์ เพราะพระองค์ดี เพราะความรักมั่นคงของพระองค์ดำรงอยู่ตลอดไป
2So let the redeemed of the LORD say, whom He hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
2ให้ผู้ที่พระยาห์เวห์ไถ่ไว้กล่าวเช่นนี้ คือผู้ที่พระองค์ไถ่จากมือศัตรู
3And gathered them out of the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
3และรวบรวมมาจากแผ่นดินต่าง ๆ จากตะวันออกและตะวันตก จากเหนือและใต้
4They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; they found no city of habitation.
4พวกเขาเร่ร่อนในถิ่นกันดาร บนทางเปลี่ยวร้าง หาเมืองที่จะอาศัยไม่ได้
5Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
5ทั้งหิวทั้งกระหาย เรี่ยวแรงหมดสิ้นอยู่ภายใน
6Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them out of their distresses.
6แล้วพวกเขาร้องหาพระยาห์เวห์ท่ามกลางความทุกข์ พระองค์ช่วยให้พ้นจากความคับแค้น
7And He led them by a straight way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
7นำพวกเขาไปตามทางตรง จนไปถึงเมืองที่จะอาศัย
8Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
8ให้พวกเขาสรรเสริญพระยาห์เวห์เพราะความรักมั่นคงของพระองค์ เพราะกิจการอัศจรรย์ที่พระองค์ทำเพื่อมนุษย์ทั้งหลาย!
9For He hath satisfied the longing soul, and the hungry soul He hath filled with good.
9เพราะพระองค์ทำให้ผู้โหยหาได้อิ่ม และเติมสิ่งดีให้ผู้หิวโหยจนเต็ม
10Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron —
10บางคนนั่งอยู่ในความมืดและเงาแห่งความตาย ถูกจองจำด้วยความทุกข์และโซ่เหล็ก
11Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the Most High.
11เพราะพวกเขากบฏต่อถ้อยคำของพระเจ้า และดูหมิ่นคำปรึกษาขององค์ผู้สูงสุด
12Therefore He humbled their heart with travail, they stumbled, and there was none to help —
12พระองค์จึงทำให้ใจพวกเขาตกต่ำด้วยงานหนัก พวกเขาล้มลง และไม่มีใครช่วย
13They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses.
13แล้วพวกเขาร้องหาพระยาห์เวห์ท่ามกลางความทุกข์ พระองค์ช่วยให้พ้นจากความคับแค้น
14He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder.
14พาออกจากความมืดและเงาแห่งความตาย แล้วหักโซ่ที่ล่ามพวกเขา
15Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
15ให้พวกเขาสรรเสริญพระยาห์เวห์เพราะความรักมั่นคงของพระองค์ เพราะกิจการอัศจรรย์ที่พระองค์ทำเพื่อมนุษย์ทั้งหลาย!
16For He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder.
16เพราะพระองค์พังประตูทองสัมฤทธิ์ และตัดดาลเหล็กขาด
17Crazed because of the way of their transgression, and afflicted because of their iniquities —
17คนโง่ต้องทุกข์เพราะการกบฏของตน และเพราะความชั่วของตน
18Their soul abhorred all manner of food, and they drew near unto the gates of death —
18พวกเขารังเกียจอาหารทุกอย่าง และเข้าใกล้ประตูแห่งความตาย
19They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses;
19แล้วพวกเขาร้องหาพระยาห์เวห์ท่ามกลางความทุกข์ พระองค์ช่วยให้พ้นจากความคับแค้น
20He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their graves.
20พระองค์ส่งถ้อยคำของพระองค์มารักษาพวกเขา และช่วยพวกเขาให้พ้นจากหลุมศพ
21Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
21ให้พวกเขาสรรเสริญพระยาห์เวห์เพราะความรักมั่นคงของพระองค์ เพราะกิจการอัศจรรย์ที่พระองค์ทำเพื่อมนุษย์ทั้งหลาย!
22And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with singing.
22ให้พวกเขาถวายเครื่องบูชาแห่งการขอบคุณ และเล่ากิจการของพระองค์ด้วยเสียงเพลง
23They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters —
23บางคนลงเรือออกทะเล ทำมาหากินในผืนน้ำกว้างใหญ่
24These saw the works of the LORD, and His wonders in the deep;
24คนเหล่านี้ได้เห็นกิจการของพระยาห์เวห์ และสิ่งอัศจรรย์ของพระองค์ในห้วงลึก
25For He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves thereof;
25เพราะพระองค์ตรัส ลมพายุก็ลุกขึ้น ยกคลื่นทะเลให้สูง
26They mounted up to the heaven, they went down to the deeps; their soul melted away because of trouble;
26พวกเขาขึ้นไปถึงฟ้า แล้วลงไปถึงห้วงลึก ใจของพวกเขาละลายด้วยความทุกข์
27They reeled to and fro, and staggered like a drunken man, and all their wisdom was swallowed up —
27พวกเขาโซเซไปมาเหมือนคนเมา หมดปัญญา ไม่รู้จะทำอย่างไร
28They cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distresses.
28แล้วพวกเขาร้องหาพระยาห์เวห์ท่ามกลางความทุกข์ พระองค์พาออกจากความคับแค้น
29He made the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof were still.
29พระองค์ทำให้พายุสงบ คลื่นทะเลก็นิ่ง
30Then were they glad because they were quiet, and He led them unto their desired haven.
30พวกเขาดีใจเมื่อทะเลสงบ พระองค์จึงนำไปถึงท่าเรือที่ปรารถนา
31Let them give thanks unto the LORD for His mercy, and for His wonderful works to the children of men!
31ให้พวกเขาสรรเสริญพระยาห์เวห์เพราะความรักมั่นคงของพระองค์ เพราะกิจการอัศจรรย์ที่พระองค์ทำเพื่อมนุษย์ทั้งหลาย!
32Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people, and praise Him in the seat of the elders.
32ให้พวกเขายกย่องพระองค์ในที่ประชุมของประชาชน และสรรเสริญพระองค์ในที่ประชุมของผู้อาวุโส
33He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and watersprings into a thirsty ground;
33พระองค์เปลี่ยนแม่น้ำให้เป็นทะเลทราย เปลี่ยนตาน้ำให้เป็นแผ่นดินกระหายน้ำ
34A fruitful land into a salt waste, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
34เปลี่ยนแผ่นดินอุดมสมบูรณ์ให้เป็นดินเค็มรกร้าง เพราะความชั่วของผู้ที่อาศัยอยู่ที่นั่น
35He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, and a dry land into watersprings.
35พระองค์เปลี่ยนทะเลทรายให้เป็นสระน้ำ เปลี่ยนแผ่นดินแห้งให้มีตาน้ำ
36And there He maketh the hungry to dwell, and they establish a city of habitation;
36พระองค์ให้คนหิวโหยตั้งถิ่นฐานที่นั่น พวกเขาสร้างเมืองเพื่ออยู่อาศัย
37And sow fields, and plant vineyards, which yield fruits of increase.
37หว่านพืช ปลูกสวนองุ่น และเก็บเกี่ยวผลผลิต
38He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly, and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
38พระองค์อวยพรจนพวกเขาเพิ่มจำนวนอย่างมาก และไม่ปล่อยให้ฝูงสัตว์ลดลง
39Again, they are minished and dwindle away through oppression of evil and sorrow.
39ต่อมา พวกเขากลับลดจำนวนและตกต่ำ เพราะการกดขี่ ความทุกข์ และความเศร้า
40He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.
40พระองค์ทำให้บรรดาเจ้านายตกเป็นที่ดูหมิ่น ทำให้พวกเขาเร่ร่อนในที่รกร้างไร้ทาง
41Yet setteth He the needy on high from affliction, and maketh his families like a flock.
41แต่ยกคนขัดสนขึ้นจากความทุกข์ และเพิ่มพูนครอบครัวของพวกเขาให้มากเหมือนฝูงแกะ
42The upright see it, and are glad; and all iniquity stoppeth her mouth.
42คนเที่ยงตรงเห็นแล้วก็ยินดี คนชั่วทั้งสิ้นจะต้องปิดปากเงียบ
43Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them consider the mercies of the LORD.
43ใครมีปัญญา จงใส่ใจสิ่งเหล่านี้ และพิจารณาว่าพระยาห์เวห์แสดงความรักมั่นคงอย่างไรบ้าง
