1Why are the nations in an uproar? And why do the peoples mutter in vain?
1ทำไมชนชาติต่าง ๆ จึงเดือดพล่าน ทำไมผู้คนจึงวางแผนสิ่งไร้ผล?
2The kings of the earth stand up, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed:
2กษัตริย์ทั่วแผ่นดินตั้งตนขึ้น เหล่าผู้ปกครองร่วมกันวางแผน ต่อต้านพระยาห์เวห์ และผู้ที่พระองค์เจิมไว้ โดยกล่าวว่า
3'Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.'
3“มาเถอะ ให้เราฉีกพันธะของพวกเขาให้ขาด แล้วสลัดเชือกของพวกเขาออกจากตัวเราเสีย”
4He that sitteth in heaven laugheth, the Lord hath them in derision.
4ผู้ที่นั่งอยู่ในฟ้าสวรรค์หัวเราะ องค์เจ้านาย เยาะเย้ยพวกเขา
5Then will He speak unto them in His wrath, and affright them in His sore displeasure:
5แล้วพระองค์จะกล่าวกับพวกเขาด้วยความโกรธ ทำให้พวกเขาหวาดกลัวด้วยความเดือดดาลของพระองค์:
6'Truly it is I that have established My king upon Zion, My holy mountain.'
6“เราได้ตั้งกษัตริย์ของเราไว้แล้วบนภูเขาศิโยนอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์ของเรา”
7I will tell of the decree: the LORD said unto me: 'Thou art My son, this day have I begotten thee.
7ฉันจะเล่าถึงคำประกาศนั้น: พระยาห์เวห์บอกฉันว่า “เจ้าเป็นบุตรของเรา วันนี้เราได้เป็นบิดาของเจ้า
8Ask of Me, and I will give the nations for thine inheritance, and the ends of the earth for thy possession.
8ขอจากเรา แล้วเราจะให้ชนชาติต่าง ๆ เป็นมรดกของเจ้า ให้สุดปลายแผ่นดินเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของเจ้า
9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.'
9เจ้าจะทุบพวกเขาด้วยคทาเหล็ก ฟาดให้แตกเป็นชิ้นเหมือนภาชนะดินของช่างปั้น”
10Now therefore, O ye kings, be wise; be admonished, ye judges of the earth.
10เพราะฉะนั้น กษัตริย์ทั้งหลาย จงมีปัญญา ผู้พิพากษาแห่งแผ่นดิน จงรับคำสั่งสอน
11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
11จงรับใช้พระยาห์เวห์ด้วยความยำเกรง และยินดีทั้งที่ตัวสั่น
12Do homage in purity, lest He be angry, and ye perish in the way, when suddenly His wrath is kindled. Happy are all they that take refuge in Him.
12จงน้อมคารวะบุตรด้วยใจจริง ไม่เช่นนั้นเขาจะโกรธ และพวกท่านจะพินาศกลางทาง เพราะความโกรธของเขาพร้อมจะลุกเป็นไฟ ทุกคนที่เข้าลี้ภัยในเขาช่างเป็นสุข
