1O thou that dwellest in the covert of the Most High, and abidest in the shadow of the Almighty;
1Који живи у заклону Вишњег, у сену Свемогућег почива.
2I will say of the LORD, who is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust,
2Говори Господу: Ти си уточиште моје и бранич мој, Бог мој, у ког се уздам.
3That He will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
3Он ће те избавити из замке птичареве, и од љутог помора;
4He will cover thee with His pinions, and under His wings shalt thou take refuge; His truth is a shield and a buckler.
4Перјем својим осениће те, и под крилима Његовим заклонићеш се; истина је Његова штит и ограда.
5Thou shalt not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flieth by day;
5Нећеш се бојати страхоте ноћне, стреле, која лети дању,
6Of the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor of the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
6Помора, који иде по мраку, болести, која у подне мори.
7A thousand may fall at Thy side, and ten thousand at Thy right hand; it shall not come nigh thee.
7Пашће поред тебе хиљада и десет хиљада с десне стране теби, а тебе се неће дотаћи.
8Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold, and see the recompense of the wicked.
8Само ћеш гледати очима својим, и видећеш плату безбожницима.
9For thou hast made the LORD who is my refuge, even the Most High, thy habitation.
9Јер си Ти, Господе, поуздање моје. Вишњег си изабрао себи за уточиште.
10There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy tent.
10Неће Те зло задесити, и ударац неће досегнути до колибе Твоје.
11For He will give His angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
11Јер анђелима својим заповеда за Тебе да Те чувају по свим путевима Твојим.
12They shall bear thee upon their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
12На руке ће Те узети да где не запнеш за камен ногом својом.
13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and asp; the young lion and the serpent shalt thou trample under feet.
13На лава и на аспиду наступаћеш и газићеш лавића и змаја.
14'Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known My name.
14„Кад ме љуби, избавићу Га; заклонићу Га, кад је познао име моје.
15He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him, and bring him to honour.
15Зазваће ме, и услишићу Га; с Њим ћу бити у невољи, избавићу Га и прославићу Га.
16With long life will I satisfy him, and make Him to behold My salvation.'
16Дугог живота наситићу Га, и показаћу му спасење своје.”
