1A Psalm of David. Strive, O LORD, with them that strive with me; fight against them that fight against me.
1Господе! Буди супарник супарницима мојим; удри оне који ударају на ме.
2Take hold of shield and buckler, and rise up to my help.
2Узми оружје и штит, и дигни се мени у помоћ.
3Draw out also the spear, and the battle-axe, against them that pursue me; say unto my soul: 'I am Thy salvation.'
3Потегни копље, и пресеци пут онима који ме гоне, реци души мојој: Ја сам спасење твоје.
4Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion that seek after my soul; let them be turned back and be abashed that devise my hurt.
4Нека се постиде и посраме који траже душу моју; нека се одбију натраг и постиде који ми зло хоће.
5Let them be as chaff before the wind, the angel of the LORD thrusting them.
5Нека буду као прах пред ветром, и анђео Господњи нека их прогони.
6Let their way be dark and slippery, the angel of the LORD pursuing them.
6Нека буде пут њихов таман и клизав, и анђео Господњи нека их тера.
7For without cause have they hid for me the pit, even their net, without cause have they digged for my soul.
7Јер низашта застреше мрежом јаму за мене, низашта ископаше јаму души мојој.
8Let destruction come upon him unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself; with destruction let him fall therein.
8Нека дође на њега погибао ненадна, и мрежа коју је наместио нека улови њега, нека он у њу падне на погибао.
9And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD; it shall rejoice in His salvation.
9А душа ће се моја радовати о Господу, и веселиће се за помоћ Његову.
10All my bones shall say: 'LORD, who is like unto Thee, who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?'
10Све ће кости моје рећи: Господе! Ко је као Ти, који избављаш страдалца од оног који му досађује, и ништега и убогога од оног који га упропашћује?
11Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they ask me of things that I know not.
11Усташе на ме лажни сведоци; шта не знам, за оно ме питају.
12They repay me evil for good; bereavement is come to my soul.
12Плаћају ми зло за добро, и сиротовање души мојој.
13But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth, I afflicted my soul with fasting; and my prayer, may it return into mine own bosom.
13Ја се у болести њиховој облачих у врећу, мучих постом душу своју, и молитва се моја враћаше у прсима мојим.
14I went about as though it had been my friend or my brother; I bowed down mournful, as one that mourneth for his mother.
14Као пријатељ, као брат поступах; бејах сетан и с обореном главом као онај који за матером жали.
15But when I halt they rejoice, and gather themselves together; the abjects gather themselves together against me, and those whom I know not; they tear me, and cease not;
15А они се радују кад се ја спотакнем, и купе се, купе се на ме, задају ране, не знам зашто, чупају и не престају.
16With the profanest mockeries of backbiting they gnash at me with their teeth.
16С неваљалим и подругљивим беспосличарима шкргућу на ме зубима својим.
17Lord, how long wilt Thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, mine only one from the lions.
17Господе! Хоћеш ли дуго гледати? Отми душу моју од нападања њиховог, од ових лавова јединицу моју.
18I will give Thee thanks in the great congregation; I will praise Thee among a numerous people.
18Признаћу Те у сабору великом, усред многог народа хвалићу Те.
19Let not them that are wrongfully mine enemies rejoice over me; neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause.
19Да ми се не би светили који ми злобе неправедно, и намигивали очима који мрзе на ме низашта.
20For they speak not peace; but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land.
20Јер они не говоре о миру, него на мирне на земљи измишљају лажне ствари.
21Yea, they open their mouth wide against me; they say: 'Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it.'
21Разваљују на ме уста своја, и говоре: Добро! Добро! Види око наше.
22Thou hast seen, O LORD; keep not silence; O Lord, be not far from me.
22Видиш, Господе! Немој ћутати; Господе! Немој одступити од мене.
23Rouse Thee, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.
23Пробуди се, устани на суд мој, Боже мој и Господе, и на парницу моју.
24Judge me, O LORD my God, according to Thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
24Суди ми по правди својој, Господе, Боже мој, да ми се не свете.
25Let them not say in their heart: 'Aha, we have our desire'; let them not say: 'We have swallowed him up.'
25Не дај да говоре у срцу свом: Добро! То смо хтели! Не дај да говоре: Прождресмо га.
26Let them be ashamed and abashed together that rejoice at my hurt; let them be clothed with shame and confusion that magnify themselves against me.
26Нек се постиде и посраме сви који се радују злу мом, нек се обуку у стид и у срам који се размећу нада мном.
27Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that delight in my righteousness; yea, let them say continually: 'Magnified be the LORD, who delighteth in the peace of His servant.'
27Нека се радују и веселе који ми желе правду, и говоре једнако: Велик Господ, који жели мира слузи свом!
28And my tongue shall speak of Thy righteousness, and of Thy praise all the day.
28И мој ће језик казивати правду Твоју, и хвалу Теби сваки дан.
