1For the Leader. A Psalm of David. O LORD, Thou hast searched me, and known me.
1Господе! Ти ме кушаш и знаш.
2Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, Thou understandest my thought afar off.
2Ти знаш кад седам и кад устанем; Ти знаш помисли моје издалека;
3Thou measurest my going about and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.
3Кад ходим и кад се одмарам, Ти си око мене, и све путеве моје видиш.
4For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, Thou knowest it altogether.
4Још нема речи на језику мом, а Ти, Господе, гле, већ све знаш.
5Thou hast hemmed me in behind and before, and laid Thy hand upon me.
5Састраг и спред Ти си ме заклонио, и ставио на ме руку своју.
6Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; too high, I cannot attain unto it.
6Чудно је за ме знање Твоје, високо, не могу да га докучим.
7Whither shall I go from Thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from Thy presence?
7Куда бих отишао од духа Твог, и од лица Твог куда бих побегао?
8If I ascend up into heaven, Thou art there; if I make my bed in the nether-world, behold, Thou art there.
8Да изађем на небо, Ти си онде. Да сиђем у пакао, онде си.
9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
9Да се дигнем на крилима од зоре, и преселим се на крај мора:
10Even there would Thy hand lead me, and Thy right hand would hold me.
10И онде ће ме рука Твоја водити, и држати ме десница Твоја.
11And if I say: 'Surely the darkness shall envelop me, and the light about me shall be night';
11Да кажем: Да ако ме мрак сакрије; али је и ноћ као видело око мене.
12Even the darkness is not too dark for Thee, but the night shineth as the day; the darkness is even as the light.
12Ни мрак неће замрачити од Тебе, и ноћ је светла као дан: мрак је као видело.
13For Thou hast made my reins; Thou hast knit me together in my mother's womb.
13Јер си Ти створио шта је у мени, саставио си ме у утроби матере моје.
14I will give thanks unto Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
14Хвалим Те, што сам дивно саздан. Дивна су дела Твоја, и душа моја то зна добро.
15My frame was not hidden from Thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
15Ниједна се кост моја није сакрила од Тебе, ако и јесам саздан тајно, откан у дубини земаљској.
16Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance, and in Thy book they were all written — even the days that were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
16Заметак мој видеше очи Твоје, у књизи је Твојој све то записано, и дани забележени, кад их још није било ниједног.
17How weighty also are Thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!
17Како су ми недокучиве помисли Твоје, Боже! Како им је велик број!
18If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand; were I to come to the end of them, I would still be with Thee.
18Да их бројим, више их је него песка. Кад се пробудим, још сам с Тобом.
19If Thou but wouldest slay the wicked, O God — depart from me therefore, ye men of blood;
19Да хоћеш, Боже, убити безбожника! Крвопије, идите од мене.
20Who utter Thy name with wicked thought, they take it for falsehood, even Thine enemies —
20Они говоре ружно на Тебе; узимају име Твоје узалуд непријатељи Твоји.
21Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate Thee? And do not I strive with those that rise up against Thee?
21Зар да не мрзим на оне, који на Те мрзе, Господе, и да се не гадим на оне који устају на Тебе?
22I hate them with utmost hatred; I count them mine enemies.
22Пуном мрзошћу мрзим на њих; непријатељи су ми.
23Search me, O God, and know my heart, try me, and know my thoughts;
23Окушај ме, Боже, и познај срце моје, испитај ме, и познај помисли моје.
24And see if there be any way in me that is grievous, and lead me in the way everlasting.
24И види јесам ли на злом путу, и води ме на пут вечни.
