1IN THE beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1У почетку створи Бог небо и земљу.
2Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters.
2А земља беше без обличја и пуста, и беше тама над безданом; и дух Божји дизаше се над водом.
3And God said: 'Let there be light.' And there was light.
3И рече Бог: Нека буде светлост. И би светлост.
4And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.
4И виде Бог светлост да је добра; и растави Бог светлост од таме.
5And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.
5И светлост назва Бог дан, а таму назва ноћ. И би вече и би јутро, дан први.
6And God said: 'Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.'
6Потом рече Бог: Нека буде свод посред воде, да раставља воду од воде.
7And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament; and it was so.
7И створи Бог свод, и растави воду под сводом од воде над сводом; и би тако.
8And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
8А свод назва Бог небо. И би вече и би јутро, дан други.
9And God said: 'Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear.' And it was so.
9Потом рече Бог: Нека се сабере вода што је под небом на једно место, и нека се покаже суво. И би тако.
10And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters called He Seas; and God saw that it was good.
10И суво назва Бог земља, а зборишта водена назва мора; и виде Бог да је добро.
11And God said: 'Let the earth put forth grass, herb yielding seed, and fruit-tree bearing fruit after its kind, wherein is the seed thereof, upon the earth.' And it was so.
11Опет рече Бог: Нека пусти земља из себе траву, биље, што носи семе, и дрво родно, које рађа род по својим врстама, у коме ће бити семе његово на земљи. И би тако.
12And the earth brought forth grass, herb yielding seed after its kind, and tree bearing fruit, wherein is the seed thereof, after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
12И пусти земља из себе траву, биље, што носи семе по својим врстама, и дрво, које рађа род, у коме је семе његово по његовим врстама. И виде Бог да је добро.
13And there was evening and there was morning, a third day.
13И би вече и би јутро, дан трећи.
14And God said: 'Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days and years;
14Потом рече Бог: Нека буду видела на своду небеском, да деле дан и ноћ, да буду знаци временима и данима и годинама;
15and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth.' And it was so.
15и нека светле на своду небеском, да обасјавају земљу. И би тако.
16And God made the two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; and the stars.
16И створи Бог два видела велика: видело веће да управља даном, и видело мање да управља ноћу, и звезде.
17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
17И постави их Бог на своду небеском да обасјавају земљу.
18and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good.
18И да управљају даном и ноћу, и да деле светлост од таме. И виде Бог да је добро.
19And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
19И би вече и би јутро, дан четврти.
20And God said: 'Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures, and let fowl fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.'
20Потом рече Бог: Нека врве по води живе душе, и птице нека лете изнад земље под свод небески.
21And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that creepeth, wherewith the waters swarmed, after its kind, and every winged fowl after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
21И створи Бог китове велике и све живе душе што се мичу, што проврвеше по води по врстама својим, и све птице крилате по врстама њиховим. И виде Бог да је добро;
22And God blessed them, saying: 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.'
22и благослови их Бог говорећи: Рађајте се и множите се, и напуните воду по морима, и птице нека се множе на земљи.
23And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
23И би вече и би јутро, дан пети.
24And God said: 'Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind.' And it was so.
24Потом рече Бог: Нека земља пусти из себе душе живе по врстама њиховим, стоку и ситне животиње и звери земаљске по врстама њиховим. И би тако.
25And God made the beast of the earth after its kind, and the cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
25И створи Бог звери земаљске по врстама њиховим, и стоку по врстама њеним, и све ситне животиње на земљи по врстама њиховим. И виде Бог да је добро.
26And God said: 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.'
26Потом рече Бог: Да начинимо човека по свом обличју, као што смо ми, који ће бити господар од риба морских и од птица небеских и од стоке и од целе земље и од свих животиња што се мичу по земљи.
27And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.
27И створи Бог човека по обличју свом, по обличју Божјем створи га; мушко и женско створи их.
28And God blessed them; and God said unto them: 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that creepeth upon the earth.'
28И благослови их Бог, и рече им Бог: Рађајте се и множите се, и напуните земљу, и владајте њом, и будите господари од риба морских и од птица небеских и од свих звери што се миче по земљи.
29And God said: 'Behold, I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed — to you it shall be for food;
29И још рече Бог: Ево, дао сам вам све биље што носи семе по свој земљи, и сва дрвета родна која носе семе; то ће вам бити за храну.
30and to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is a living soul, I have given every green herb for food.' And it was so.
30А свим зверима земаљским и свим птицама небеским и свему што се миче на земљи и у чему има душа жива, дао сам сву траву да једу. И би тако.
31And God saw every thing that He had made, and, behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.
31Тада погледа Бог све што је створио, и гле, добро беше веома. И би вече и би јутро, дан шести.
