1Hallelujah. Happy is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in His commandments.
1主をほめたたえよ。 主を恐れ、 その戒めを大いに喜ぶ人は幸いである。
2His seed shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
2その子孫は地で力ある者となり、 心のまっすぐな者たちの世代は祝福される。
3Wealth and riches are in his house; and his merit endureth for ever.
3富と財宝はその家にあり、 その義は永遠に続く。
4Unto the upright He shineth as a light in the darkness, gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
4心のまっすぐな者たちのために、暗闇の中にも光が昇る。 その人は恵み深く、あわれみ深く、正しい。
5Well is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth, that ordereth his affairs rightfully.
5恵み深く振る舞い、人に貸し与える人は幸いである。 その人は裁きの場でも、自分の言い分を正しく述べる。
6For he shall never be moved; the righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.
6その人は決して揺るがされない。 義人は永遠に記憶される。
7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is stedfast, trusting in the LORD.
7悪い知らせを恐れず、 その心は揺るぎなく、主に信頼している。
8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he gaze upon his adversaries.
8その心は堅く立ち、 敵を見ても恐れない。
9He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the needy; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted in honour.
9その人は惜しみなく分け与え、貧しい者たちに施した。 その義は永遠に続き、 その角は誉れのうちに高く上げられる。
10The wicked shall see it, and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.
10悪者はそれを見て心を痛め、 歯ぎしりして消え去る。 悪者の願いは滅びる。
