1Hallelujah. Praise ye the name of the LORD; give praise, O ye servants of the LORD,
1主をほめたたえよ！ 主の御名をほめたたえよ。 主のしもべたちよ、主をほめたたえよ。
2Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God.
2主の家に立つ者たちよ、 私たちの神の家の庭に立つ者たちよ。
3Praise ye the LORD, for the LORD is good; sing praises unto His name, for it is pleasant.
3主をほめたたえよ。主は良い方だからだ。 その御名をほめ歌え。それは喜ばしいことだからだ。
4For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto Himself, and Israel for His own treasure.
4主はヤコブをご自分のために選び、 イスラエルをご自分の宝とされたからだ。
5For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.
5まことに私は知っている。主は偉大であり、 私たちの主は、すべての神々にまさる方である。
6Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that hath He done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps;
6主は望むことをすべて行われる。 天でも地でも、海でも、すべての深い所でも。
7Who causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; He maketh lightnings for the rain; He bringeth forth the wind out of His treasuries.
7主は地の果てから雲を立ち上らせ、 雨のために稲妻を造り、 その倉から風を出される。
8Who smote the first-born of Egypt, both of man and beast.
8主はエジプトの長子を打たれた。 人も家畜も。
9He sent signs and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.
9エジプトよ、主はあなたのただ中に、しるしと不思議を送られた。 ファラオと、そのすべての家来に対して。
10Who smote many nations, and slew mighty kings:
10主は多くの国々を打ち、 力ある王たちを殺された。
11Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
11アモリ人の王シホン、 バシャンの王オグ、 そしてカナンのすべての王国を。
12And gave their land for a heritage, a heritage unto Israel His people.
12主は彼らの地を相続地として与え、 ご自分の民イスラエルの相続地とされた。
13O LORD, Thy name endureth for ever; thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
13主よ、あなたの御名はとこしえに続き、 あなたの名声は代々に及ぶ。
14For the LORD will judge His people, and repent Himself for His servants.
14主はご自分の民を裁き、 ご自分のしもべたちをあわれまれるからだ。
15The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
15諸国の民の偶像は銀と金、 人の手のわざである。
16They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;
16口があっても語れず、 目があっても見ることができない。
17They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
17耳があっても聞くことができず、 その口には息もない。
18They that make them shall be like unto them; yea, every one that trusteth in them.
18それを造る者たちは、それと同じようになる。 それに信頼する者も皆、そのようになる。
19O house of Israel, bless ye the LORD; O house of Aaron, bless ye the LORD;
19イスラエルの家よ、主をほめたたえよ。 アロンの家よ、主をほめたたえよ。
20O house of Levi, bless ye the LORD; ye that fear the LORD, bless ye the LORD.
20レビの家よ、主をほめたたえよ。 主を恐れる者たちよ、主をほめたたえよ。
21Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, who dwelleth at Jerusalem. Hallelujah.
21主がシオンからほめたたえられますように。 エルサレムに住まわれる主が。 主をほめたたえよ！
