1(5-1) For the Leader; upon the Nehiloth. A Psalm of David. (5-2) Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
1主よ、私の言葉に耳を傾けてください。 私の思い巡らすことを顧みてください。
2(5-3) Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God; for unto Thee do I pray.
2私の叫びの声を聞いてください、私の王、私の神よ。 私はあなたに祈る。
3(5-4) O LORD, in the morning shalt Thou hear my voice; in the morning will I order my prayer unto Thee, and will look forward.
3主よ、朝にあなたは私の声を聞かれる。 朝に私はあなたの前に願いを並べ、期待して待ち望む。
4(5-5) For Thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness; evil shall not sojourn with Thee.
4あなたは悪を喜ばれる神ではないからだ。 悪はあなたと共に住むことができない。
5(5-6) The boasters shall not stand in Thy sight; Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
5高慢な者はあなたの目の前に立つことができない。 あなたは不義を行うすべての者を憎まれる。
6(5-7) Thou destroyest them that speak falsehood; the LORD abhorreth the man of blood and of deceit.
6あなたは偽りを語る者たちを滅ぼされる。 主は血を流す者と欺く者を忌み嫌われる。
7(5-8) But as for me, in the abundance of Thy lovingkindness will I come into Thy house; I will bow down toward Thy holy temple in the fear of Thee.
7しかし私としては、あなたの豊かな慈しみのゆえに、私はあなたの家に入る。 私はあなたを恐れ敬い、あなたの聖なる宮に向かってひれ伏す。
8(5-9) O LORD, lead me in Thy righteousness because of them that lie in wait for me; make Thy way straight before my face.
8主よ、私の敵のゆえに、あなたの義をもって私を導いてください。 私の顔の前に、あなたの道をまっすぐにしてください。
9(5-10) For there is no sincerity in their mouth; their inward part is a yawning gulf, their throat is an open sepulchre; they make smooth their tongue.
9彼らの口には真実がないからだ。 彼らの心は破滅である。 彼らの喉は開かれた墓である。 彼らはその舌でへつらう。
10(5-11) Hold them guilty, O God, let them fall by their own counsels; cast them down in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against Thee.
10神よ、彼らに罪を負わせてください。 彼らを自分自身の企てによって倒れさせてください。 彼らの多くの背きのゆえに、彼らを追い出してください。 彼らはあなたに逆らったからだ。
11(5-12) So shall all those that take refuge in Thee rejoice, they shall ever shout for joy, and Thou shalt shelter them; let them also that love Thy name exult in Thee.
11しかし、あなたに避け所を求めるすべての者を喜ばせてください。 あなたが彼らを守られるので、彼らにいつも喜びの叫びを上げさせてください。 御名を愛する者たちにも、あなたにあって喜ばせてください。
12(5-13) For Thou dost bless the righteous; O LORD, Thou dost encompass him with favour as with a shield.
12あなたは義人を祝福されるからだ。 主よ、あなたは盾で囲むように、恵みで彼を囲まれる。
