1A Psalm of David. Unto Thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
1主よ、私はあなたに私の魂を向ける。
2O my God, in Thee have I trusted, let me not be ashamed; let not mine enemies triumph over me.
2私の神よ、私はあなたに信頼を置いている。 私を恥じ入らせないでください。 敵が私に勝ち誇らないようにしてください。
3Yea, none that wait for Thee shall be ashamed; they shall be ashamed that deal treacherously without cause.
3まことに、あなたを待ち望む者は誰も恥じ入ることがない。 ゆえなく裏切る者は恥じ入るだろう。
4Show me Thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths.
4主よ、あなたの道を私に示してください。 あなたの小道を私に教えてください。
5Guide me in Thy truth, and teach me; for Thou art the God of my salvation; for Thee do I wait all the day.
5あなたの真理のうちに私を導き、教えてください。 あなたは私の救いの神だからだ。 私は一日中、あなたを待ち望んでいる。
6Remember, O LORD, Thy compassions and Thy mercies; for they have been from of old.
6主よ、あなたの深いあわれみと慈しみを覚えてください。 それらは昔からあるからだ。
7Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; according to Thy mercy remember Thou me, for Thy goodness' sake, O LORD.
7私の若い頃の罪や背きを覚えないでください。 あなたの慈しみに従って、私を覚えてください。 主よ、あなたが良い方であるゆえに。
8Good and upright is the LORD; therefore doth He instruct sinners in the way.
8主は良い方、まっすぐな方である。 それゆえ、罪人たちに道を教えられる。
9He guideth The humble in justice; and He teacheth the humble His way.
9主はへりくだる者を公正に導かれる。 へりくだる者に、その道を教えられる。
10All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.
10主のすべての道は、慈しみと真理である。 主の契約とあかしを守る者たちにとって。
11For Thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity, for it is great.
11主よ、あなたの御名のために、 私の不義をお赦しください。それは大きいからだ。
12What man is he that feareth the LORD? him will He instruct in the way that He should choose.
12主を恐れ敬う人は誰だろうか。 主はその人が選ぶべき道を教えられる。
13His soul shall abide in prosperity; and his seed shall inherit the land.
13その魂は安らかに住み、 その子孫は地を受け継ぐだろう。
14The counsel of the LORD is with them that fear Him; and His covenant, to make them know it.
14主の親しい交わりは、主を恐れ敬う者たちと共にある。 主は彼らにご自身の契約を示される。
15Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for He will bring forth my feet out of the net.
15私の目は常に主に向けられている。 主が私の足を網から引き抜いてくださるからだ。
16Turn Thee unto me, and be gracious unto me; for I am solitary and afflicted.
16私に御顔を向け、あわれんでください。 私は孤独で苦しんでいるからだ。
17The troubles of my heart are enlarged; O bring Thou me out of my distresses.
17私の心の悩みは増し加わった。 ああ、私を苦悩から引き出してください。
18See mine affliction and my travail; and forgive all my sins.
18私の苦しみと労苦を顧みてください。 私のすべての罪をお赦しください。
19Consider how many are mine enemies, and the cruel hatred wherewith they hate me.
19私の敵を顧みてください。彼らは多いからだ。 彼らは残酷な憎しみをもって私を憎んでいる。
20O keep my soul, and deliver me; let me not be ashamed, for I have taken refuge in Thee.
20ああ、私の魂を守り、助け出してください。 私を恥じ入らせないでください。私はあなたに避け所を求めているからだ。
21Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for Thee.
21誠実とまっすぐさが私を保ちますように。 私はあなたを待ち望んでいるからだ。
22Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
