1(80-1) For the Leader; upon Shoshannim. A testimony. A Psalm of Asaph. (80-2) Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, Thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; Thou that art enthroned upon the cherubim, shine forth.
1イスラエルの牧者よ、聞いてください。 ヨセフを羊の群れのように導かれる方よ。 ケルビムの上に座しておられる方よ、輝き出てください。
2(80-3) Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up Thy might, and come to save us.
2エフライム、ベニヤミン、マナセの前で、あなたの力を奮い起こしてください。 私たちを救うために来てください。
3(80-4) O God, restore us; and cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
3神よ、私たちを立ち返らせてください。 あなたの御顔を光り輝かせてください。 そうすれば、私たちは救われる。
4(80-5) O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt Thou be angry against the prayer of Thy people?
4万軍の神、主よ、 あなたはいつまで、あなたの民の祈りに怒りを燃やされるのか。
5(80-6) Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.
5あなたは彼らに涙のパンを食べさせ、 あふれるほどの涙を飲ませられた。
6(80-7) Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours; and our enemies mock as they please.
6あなたは私たちを隣人たちの争いの的とされた。 私たちの敵は自分たちの間で嘲り笑っている。
7(80-8) O God of hosts, restore us; and cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
7万軍の神よ、私たちを立ち返らせてください。 あなたの御顔を光り輝かせてください。 そうすれば、私たちは救われる。
8(80-9) Thou didst pluck up a vine out of Egypt; Thou didst drive out the nations, and didst plant it.
8あなたはエジプトからぶどうの木を携え出し、 国々の民を追い出して、それを植えられた。
9(80-10) Thou didst clear a place before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land.
9あなたはそれのために場所を空けられ、 それは深く根を張り、地に満った。
10(80-11) The mountains were covered with the shadow of it, and the mighty cedars with the boughs thereof.

11(80-12) She sent out her branches unto the sea, and her shoots unto the River.
11それは海にまで枝を伸ばし、 川にまで若枝を伸ばした。
12(80-13) Why hast Thou broken down her fences, so that all they that pass by the way do pluck her?
12なぜあなたはその石垣を打ち壊されたのか。 道を通るすべての者がそれを摘み取っている。
13(80-14) The boar out of the wood doth ravage it, that which moveth in the field feedeth on it.
13森から出たイノシシがそれを荒らし、 野の獣がそれを食べている。
14(80-15) O God of hosts, return, we beseech Thee; look from heaven, and behold, and be mindful of this vine,
14万軍の神よ、どうか戻って来てください。 天から見下ろして、ご覧ください。このぶどうの木を顧みてください。
15(80-16) And of the stock which Thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that Thou madest strong for Thyself.
15あなたの右の手が植えられたその幹を、 あなたがご自分のために強くされたその枝を。
16(80-17) It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of Thy countenance.
16それは火で焼かれた。 それは切り倒された。 彼らはあなたの叱責によって滅ぶ。
17(80-18) Let Thy hand be upon the man of Thy right hand, upon the son of man whom Thou madest strong for Thyself.
17あなたの右の手の人の上に、 あなたがご自分のために強くされた人の子の上に、あなたの御手がありますように。
18(80-19) So shall we not turn back from Thee; quicken Thou us, and we will call upon Thy name.

19(80-20) O LORD God of hosts, restore us; cause Thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
