1Out of the depths I have cried to thee, O Lord:
1Multe oni afliktis min de post mia juneco, Diras Izrael,
2Lord, hear my voice. Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.
2Multe oni afliktis min de post mia juneco, Sed oni min ne pereigis.
3If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities: Lord, who shall stand it.
3Sur mia dorso plugis plugistoj, Faris siajn sulkojn longaj.
4For with thee there is merciful forgiveness: and by reason of thy law, I have waited for thee, O Lord. My soul hath relied on his word:
4La Eternulo estas justa; Li dishakis la ŝnurojn de la malvirtuloj.
5My soul hath hoped in the Lord.
5Hontiĝu kaj turniĝu malantaŭen Ĉiuj malamantoj de Cion.
6From the morning watch even until night, let Israel hope in the Lord.
6Ili estu kiel tegmenta herbo, Kiu forvelkas, antaŭ ol oni ĝin elŝiris;
7Because with the Lord there is mercy: and with him plentiful redemption.
7Per kiu ne plenigas rikoltanto sian manon Nek garbiganto sian baskon.
8And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
8Kaj la preterirantoj ne diros: Beno de la Eternulo estu al vi, Ni benas vin per la nomo de la Eternulo.
