1I have lifted up my eyes to the mountains, from whence help shall come to me.
1Al la Eternulo mi vokis en mia sufero, Kaj Li aŭskultis min.
2My help is from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
2Ho Eternulo, savu mian animon de mensoga parolo, De falsa lango.
3May he not suffer thy foot to be moved: neither let him slumber that keepeth thee.
3Kion Li donos al vi, Kaj kion Li alportos al vi, ho falsa lango?
4Behold he shall neither slumber nor sleep, that keepeth Israel.
4Akrajn sagojn de fortulo Kun karboj genistaj.
5The Lord is thy keeper, the Lord is thy protection upon thy right hand.
5Ve al mi, ke mi gastas en Meŝeĥ, Ke mi loĝas inter la tendoj de Kedar!
6The sun shall not burn thee by day: nor the moon by night.
6Tro longe loĝis mia animo Inter malamantoj de paco.
7The Lord keepeth thee from all evil: may the Lord keep thy soul.
7Mi estas pacema; Sed kiam mi ekparolas, ili komencas militon.
8May the Lord keep thy going in and thy going out; from henceforth now and for ever.
