1А Вилдад Сушанин одговори и рече:
1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:
2Кад ћете свршити разговор? Оразумите се, па ћемо онда говорити.
2How long will ye lay snares for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
3Зашто се мисли да смо као стока? Зашто смо гадни у вашим очима?
3Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed dull in your sight?
4Који растржеш душу своју у јарости својој, хоће ли се тебе ради оставити земља и стена се преместити са свог места?
4Thou that tearest thyself in thine anger, shall the earth be forsaken for thee? Or shall the rock be removed out of its place?
5Да, видело безбожних угасиће се, и искра огња њиховог неће сијати.
5Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
6Видело ће помркнути у шатору његовом, и жижак ће се његов угасити у њему.
6The light shall be dark in his tent, and his lamp over him shall be put out.
7Силни кораци његови стегнуће се, и обориће га његова намера.
7The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
8Јер ће се увалити у замку ногама својим и наићи ће на мрежу;
8For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon the toils.
9Ухватиће га замка за пету и свладаће га лупеж.
9A gin shall take him by the heel, and a snare shall lay hold on him.
10Сакривено му је пругло на земљи, и клопка на стази.
10A noose is hid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
11Од свуда ће га страхоте страшити и тераће га устопце.
11Terrors shall overwhelm him on every side, and shall entrap him at his feet.
12Изгладнеће сила његова, и невоља ће бити готова уза њ.
12His trouble shall be ravenous, and calamity shall be ready for his fall.
13Појешће жиле коже његове, појешће жиле његове првенац смрти.
13It shall devour the members of his body, yea, the first-born of death shall devour his members.
14Ишчупаће се из стана његовог узданица његова, и то ће га одвести к цару страшном.
14That wherein he trusteth shall be plucked out of his tent; and he shall be brought to the king of terrors.
15Наставаће се у шатору његовом, који неће бити његов, посуће се сумпором стан његов.
15There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his; brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
16Жиле ће се његове посушити оздо, и озго ће се сасећи гране његове.
16His roots shall dry up beneath, and above shall his branch wither.
17Спомен ће његов погинути на земљи, нити ће му име бити по улицама.
17His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name abroad.
18Одагнаће се из светлости у мрак, и избациће се из света.
18He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19Ни сина ни унука неће му бити у народу његовом, нити каквог остатка у становима његовим.
19He shall have neither son nor son's son among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
20Чудиће се дану његовом који буду после њега, а који су били пре обузеће их страх.
20They that come after shall be astonished at his day, as they that went before are affrighted.
21Такви су станови безаконикови, и такво је место оног који не зна за Бога.
21Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
